Vision: To see the students in Phnom Penh Thmey believing, following and growing in Jesus
Christ, being transformed by the gospel and impacting their communities both locally and globally.
Mission: To reach students in Phnom Penh Thmey with the Good News of Jesus Christ through
networking and facilitating relationship with the students, believers and churches in the area.
Gateway is committed to help local churches, mission team, and other believers who want to serve
with us at Gateway. This volunteer application is to help Gateway and the volunteer to find the best
serving opportunities. As Gateway is a Christian café and student ministry, we require all volunteers
to be mission-minded and willing to serve God. All volunteers are required to adhere to the Gateway
volunteer policy and work with the Gateway Leadership Team. We are looking forward to serving
God with you at Gateway!

Position
Café Volunteer Supervisor
*Preferably someone who has previous café experience
Duration
Minimum of 1 year commitment
Responsibilities
1. Serving as a waiter/waitress at Gateway Café
You will be serving alongside with Cambodian staff as a waiter/waitress. You will provide our guests
with outstanding service and serve as a model for our local staff. You will be interacting and
building relationships with customers both Cambodians and foreigners. You will also be interacting
with local students who are customers or participants of student program at Gateway.
2. Café Management
In addition to serving at the Gateway Café, you will be working with the Leadership Team to assist
in one or more of the following areas:
Daily operations
a. Manage staff, prepare daily work schedules and assign specific duties.
b. Develop and maintain customer relationships.
c. Responsible to direct staff of the procurement of food.
d. Maintain a high standard of hygiene and quality of food.
Human Resources
e. Determine staffing requirements, interview, hiring, training, and performance &
compensation review.
Administration and Planning
f. Plan and direct café marketing strategies such as sales promotions, special events, etc.
g. Identify customers’ preferences and demands for future planning.
h. Identify inefficiency in the daily operations.
i. Prepare the periodic board meetings.
3. Student Ministry
As a volunteer of Gateway Café Ministry, we anticipate an active role from you to participate our
student ministries in leading bible studies, planning outreach activities, or other student ministries.
