Habitat III agreement the “New Urban Agenda”
Habitat III conference in Quito in October has released the fourth draft of the “New
Urban Agenda” to be agreed on in October 20th. View the Surabaya draft of the New

The draft is 22 pages consisting of 165 paragraphs. The version as of 28 July
contained new changes,

A string dedicated paragraph 7 in the Declaration recognizing 2nd local and
regional governments and their 2nd World Assembly.

A totally new Section C Follow-up and Review (page 20) containing numerous
brackets as well as 2 options in para.164 regarding options the way forward for
strengthening UN Habitat.

PLEASE IDENTIFY THE TEN MOST CLIMATE NEGATIVE PARAGRAHPS TO BE SYNKED WITH THE CONTENT
OF THE COP21 PARIS AGREEMENT. GO BACK INTO THE HABITAT III PROCESS WITH A FIRM APROACH
WITH ALTERNATIVE TEXT GUIDANCE. To aggregate urban emission pathways consistent with
holding the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2 °C above
preindustrial levels and pursuing efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 °C.
My advice is COP22 have a presence at these two conferences below;
World Summit of Local and Regional Leaders 12th to the 15th of October in Bogota’.
Special event – World Assembly of Local and Regional Governments 16th of October in
Bogota’.

7100 Mayors are our new leaders and role models, these must act up and show a
lifestyle equivalent the behaviour change that is all upon us. For us to trust the
leaders the must show the way in low-carbon lifestyle.
From another strong COP22 meeting, the Key Events should completely merge foundational
basic elements one New Urban Agenda (Habitat III) / #Agenda2030 (Global Goals)
emissions consensus especially with #Goal11 in sustainable (low-carbon) cities.

Currently leading up the high-level event at COP22 by preparation draft boards
