French Day
Last Friday we had
our French day and it
was a really good opportunity for the children to use their French
in context.
We had an amazing assembly performed entirely in French by Year 4. They
were really impressive! Then the children did activities in French and we
had a School Council group French quiz which seemed to engender a lot of
excitement! In the afternoon we had a French market where children were
given euros to spend. Thank you to Amanda Allen for organising it, to the
parents who helped and to our Year 6’s who helped run the stalls.
Year 3 Recorder Concert
Year 3 have been learning recorders all year and gave wonderful performance in assembly today. They only have about 30 minutes a week
for their lesson but they were able to all play together and to even read
some musical notation.
I was particularly impressed with Maxwell who gave a solo performance of a piece he had composed himself.
