SHUTTLE SERVICE
SATURDAY MORNING SHUTTLES
• Complimentary shuttle service will be offered from the Hilton Americas to Stude Park
(the Opening Ceremony site) on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
• Walker & Crew shuttles will begin running at 4:00 am.
• The last shuttle will depart from the hotel by 5:45 am.
• We strongly recommend you take an early shuttle to ensure you arrive in time for
the Opening Ceremony, which will begin at 6:30 am.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON SHUTTLES
• Complimentary shuttles will leave from Stude Park to return to the Hilton Americas
starting after the Closing Ceremony has concluded.
ADDITIONAL WEEKEND SHUTTLES
For those who choose not to camp with us and leave the event for the night, Non-Camping
shuttle services will be offered throughout the weekend on the following schedule:
Non-Camping Shuttles* - Saturday Evening

Shuttles will leave Basecamp 39 to return to the Hilton Americas beginning at 4:00
pm with the last departure leaving at 8:00 pm for those participants who choose to
leave the event for the night.
Non-Camping Shuttles* - Sunday Morning
•
Shuttles will pick up non-campers from the Hilton Americas to return to Basecamp
39 in time for the route opening.

Shuttles begin at 5:30 am with the last departure leaving at 6:45 am.
*A Non-Camping Shuttle wristband will be required to utilize either of these extra
shuttles. Wristbands can be purchased at Check-In Friday and Basecamp 39 on Saturday
for $20 (credit card or personal check only – no cash please). Bus wristbands will NOT be
sold on Sunday morning. Wristbands are non-refundable and for registered participants
only. Shuttles will begin leaving Basecamp 39 on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm.
Advance Shuttle Bus Wristband Purchases will be available online until Thursday, April 21,
2016 at 4:00 PM ET. After this time, you will only be able to purchase your shuttle bus
wristband in person at Check-In Friday or at the Shuttle Bus area at Basecamp 39. Log-in to
your Participant Center where you can purchase your Hotel Bus Pass (participants only):

Super Shuttle also provides transportation from both airports. The cost is $24 per person
from Bush Intercontinental Airport and $20 per person from Hobby Airport. Super Shuttle
also offers private shuttle service for up to 10 people for a flat fee of $75. Visit

The Hilton Americas is accessible via Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO)

The most convenient stations are Main Street Square on the Red Line (0.6 miles from the
Hilton) or Convention District on the Green and Purple Lines (0.3 miles from the Hilton).
PARKING:
Overnight/weekend parking is available at The Hilton Americas for hotel guests at the rate of
$22 per night for self parking. Those not staying overnight at the hotel are also welcome to
park here on a first come first serve basis. The hotel garage is located behind the hotel on Polk
St & Avenida de las Americas. Valet parking is also available for $34 per night.

lot operators directly with any questions and be sure to read all parking restrictions and rules
before leaving your car.
There is no overnight parking at Stude Park or Rice University, so we encourage all
participants to park at The Hilton Americas or a nearby lot and take the shuttles provided to
the Opening Ceremony. Buses will only pick up and drop at the Hilton Americas.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
Stude Park is accessible via Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) public
bus system. Visit ridemetro.org or call 713-635-4000 for information. Please keep in mind that
because of the early hour, there will be limited bus service running to the park. The shuttle will
drop off down the street and the park will be a short walk away.
TAXI:
All vehicles should drop participants at the Participant Drop Off area along Usener Street –
please have driver follow pink AVON 39 Participant Drop Off signs.
PARKING:
Overnight/weekend parking is available at the Hilton Americas. There is no overnight parking
at Stude Park, so we encourage all participants to park at the Hilton Americas and take the
shuttles provided to the Opening Ceremony.
Parking at Stude Park is extremely limited. Family or friends staying for the Ceremony can
park in spaces surrounding the park on a first-come, first-served basis.

PARTICIPANT PICK UP INFORMATION
If you plan on being picked up by a family member, taxi, Uber etc. please follow signage at
Basecamp to find the designated pick up area. No pick-ups will be allowed near the finish line,
no exceptions.
