DESCRIPTION OF FINDINGS & CONCLUSIONS
A. Description of Facility
The facility is a single family home located in a rural subdivision outside the town of
Lawton. The home is one level and all rooms are approved. The kitchen, dining room,
living room, and play room will be used for children’s activities. The bedroom and
computer room will be used for napping infants in cribs only. There is no wood burning
equipment in the home. The family owns one dog, which is kenneled outside.
The outdoor play area is in the back of the home and is completely fenced. There is an
above ground pool during the summer months, which will be fenced separately. The
children in care will not be using the pool.
B. Program Description
The provider has had a family home registration in Kalamazoo for 6 years, and at the
current home since last August. She is expanding her child care to a group home. She
will accept children of all ages from 6:00am to 11:00pm, Monday through Friday. She
has current First Aid and CPR training. She participates in a USDA Food program.

RECOMMENDATION
I recommend issuance of an original provisional license to this child day care group
home (capacity 7-12).
