WEEKLY UPDATE
May 6, 2016
Good morning,
Xplore went fishing at Clarence J. Brown Reservoir this week. They brought along their lunches and
enjoyed a picnic also. Which reminds me, there are only 21 days left to the Annual TAC Fishing Derby, which
will once again be held out at Shrine Park on May 27!
Karen and David got their potatoes in the ground this week.
Alva, Mary and Dan learned about Rue Farms and their home-made potatoe chips at their United
Senior Services garden club meeting.
Julie, Ron, Sean and Chris picked up supplies for their TAC garden at Cappelli’s Nursery.
Bob and Jim went to the Hartman Rock Gardens for geocaching. What is that? Don’t feel bad, I had to
look it up too! According to Wikipedia, it is an outdoor activity in which you use a Global Positioning System
(GPS) device to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches” , anywhere in the world. They didn’t
tell me if they were hiding or seeking or what was in the container. I guess you will have to ask them!
TAC artists visited the Art Museum.
They also looked at their self portrait pieces displayed among the masters!
Bingo players joined the game at Hearth & Home and Book Club members enjoyed their read.
Choir members practices for upcoming events. Next Friday, choir will participate in the Very Special
Arts Festival at Wright State. Save the date of June 10 th, when the choir will once again open the Summer Arts
Festival at Veteran’s Park Amplitheater.
The TAC camera eye was on 2nd shift this week.
Here more about this story next week!
It’s the first weekend of the month so see attached schedule for things going on around the
community this weekend.
Respectfully yours,
