Homework Without the Headaches
Homework reinforces lessons taught in class, teaches self-discipline, and helps to maintain the
school-home connection. This workshop answers parents’ questions; including how to get children
organized for homework, helping with projects, reading, math, and more! The workshop covers
common homework challenges – frustration, forgetfulness, procrastination, time management –
and gives parents strategies they can use to help their children be successful.

Maximizing Your Child’s Math Potential
This workshop will explain how there is more than one way to solve a math problem. They will learn
how to use real world math activities and manipulatives in order to do math problems. Parents will
understand the Florida Standards requirements for math. They will also be able to explore math apps,
websites and math activities that they can utilize with their child to maximize their child’s potential.

Couponing with Class
Everyone knows about coupons and how to use them, but not everyone knows how to use
them effectively. In this course, participants will learn how to maximize their savings and use
coupons to shop. Learn tricks and techniques for getting groceries, toiletries and drug store
items cheap and even free by using coupons, rebates and sales. Saving money with coupons
and rebates doesn’t have to be time consuming and confusing – learn the basics of why and
how you should use them, tips for keeping you organized and start stretching your budget today.
