Always a pleasure to catch up with familiar faces, and even better to see new ones there. At this month’s luncheon we have the pleasure of hosting Tom Cooper, the Director of Webster Groves Public Library. He will be talking with us about how we can use the library for marketing and prospecting for our business. Sounds like a presentation we must not miss. I also wanted to remind you of two other events coming up in April, our 5k run Bunnies on the Loose and our Community event Funfest 63119. Both are a lot of fun and great opportunities to promote your business and participate in the community. Early in the month join us for a meet and greet at Provision Living in Webster on April 7. At our monthly meeting we shared our goals for this year. Keep sight of your 2017 objective and build your business activities around it. Share it with your family, friends and colleagues. Ask for help and advice. You are not alone. Happy March! Sincerely yours, Vicky Gavrias, President Webster Groves/Shrewsbury/Rock Hill Area Chamber of Commerce “Help Us Grow the Chamber” Refer leads and recommend prospects. A few months ago, Lary & Lynn Bozzay, owners of Grafica Fine Art & Custom Framing, were approached about having an art show for Dr. Sreelatha Varma. She is a physician and has painted since she was a young girl. She wanted her artwork to benefit a charity. “Dr. Sree” wanted Lary & Lynn to select the charity. Mike Evans, Evans Facility Consultants, donates another custom covered office chair at the January networking luncheon attendance prize raffle.. Lary Bozzay thought the charity should be local. One of Grafica’s clients is Mid-America Transplant. It just so happens that Dr. Sree’s husband, Chintalapati Rathna Varma, MD, is a transplant surgeon at Saint Louis University Hospital. Lynn also has a friend, Karla Boresi, who is a three-time transplant recipient. Do you want to guess who her new family practice doctor is? Dr. Sreelatha Varma. “Dream” by Dr. Sreelatha Varma is a series of paintings depicting the life-sustaining and healing qualities of water. A portion of the sales will benefit Mid-American Transplant Foundation, which provides living arrangements for families awaiting an organ transplant. There will be an opening reception on Friday, March 31st from 6-9 pm at Grafica Fine Art, 7884 Big Bend Blvd. in Webster Groves. The show will remain on display through Saturday, April 29. This represents the fiftieth chair Mike has donated this year (to the Chamber and other worthy organizations.) Thank you for your generosity, Mike! April is “Donate Life” month. Grafica will be a donor registry location on Saturday, April 1 and Saturday, April 29 from 11 am to 3 pm. Please come in to register and to support the efforts of Dr. Varma to make her art a source of help for transplant patients and their families. ~~~~~~~ Chamber Calendar of Events ~ March ~ Friday, March 10 @ 7:30 -9 a.m. Coffee & Connections Studio Rue 8744 Big Bend Blvd. Membership Lunch Attendance Winner Thursday, March 16@ 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. Networking Lunch Westborough Country Club 631 S.
