What we excuse as merely human, you have condemned as sinful. We squirm at the description of our faults by prophets and apostles, not prepared to abandon our old ways because we have not lifted our eyes beyond the present state of things to the realm above and to the eternity beyond death. Forgive our lack of vision and spiritual aspiration, for the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ. It is the Lord’s Supper, a means of grace. Communion Stewards help prepare the Lord’s Table, a place where the congregation is fed and transformed by Christ who offers us himself. Opportunities to serve as communion stewards at the 9:00 am worship service are open to all members and are available year round. Please sign up on the sheet posted on the narthex bulletin board.
