PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
God of heaven and earth, God of flesh and spirit, Spirit of God and of
the church, the world is too much with us; late and soon, getting and
spending, we lay waste our powers, as it is not so much the harmony
with nature that we have lost but our accord with heaven. What we
excuse as merely human, you have condemned as sinful. We squirm at
the description of our faults by prophets and apostles, not prepared to
abandon our old ways because we have not lifted our eyes beyond the
present state of things to the realm above and to the eternity beyond
death. Forgive our lack of vision and spiritual aspiration, for the sake
of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen

participate in the Methodist Church’s central act of Christian worship, the
service of Holy Communion. It is the Lord’s Supper, a means of grace.
Communion Stewards help prepare the Lord’s Table, a place where the
congregation is fed and transformed by Christ who offers us himself.
Opportunities to serve as communion stewards at the 9:00 am worship service
are open to all members and are available year round. Please sign up on the
sheet posted on the narthex bulletin board. For more information call Pat Allen.
SAFE SANCTUARY: The church needs to be a safe place for everyone. If your
