Hi.My name is Hannah.I am going to dance classes
this week.They starts today after school,nearly all
my friends are going.Hope it’s really good fun.The
dance classes go on for six weeks.We will dance to

TOBY ALONE

REVIEW: TOBY IS A 14 YEAR OLD BOY WHO IS
ONLY 1 AND A HALF MILLIMETRES TALL. THIS
BOOK IS ABOUT A BOY TRYING TO FIND REFUGE
IN A MINIATURE WORLD ON A TREE! HIS
PARENTS HAD MADE A VERY SPECIAL
INVENTION. HE MEETS A GIRL AND MEETS
OTHER OLD FRIENDS INCLUDING LEO BLUE WHO
WAS ONCE HIS BEST FRIEND AND IS NOW HIS
WORST ENEMY! ITS A GRIPPING BOOK AND I
COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. ITS A FRENCH BOOK
TRANSLATED TO ENGLISH. IT HAS HAD MANY
GOOD REVIWS FROM AROUND THE WORLD. I
STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT FOR KIDS AGE 9-14.

French Classes
Hi my name is Reetu and I am in the
French classes so far we have learned the
alphabets,the numbers 1-100, colours, the
days of the week and how to say hello,
how are you and what is your name .We
have three more classes left I have been
enjoying the last four weeks and I hope to
enjoy the other three more.The teacher
that is teaching us French is Ms.Walsh she
is a great teacher and also brilliant at

X Factor
On Saturday and Sunday I went to the X Factor because
my great auntie was on it. Her name is Mary Byrne .The
only way you got in was if you were with the contestants
or judges. After the show there was a party. I got
Ushers autograph and I got lots of autographs of the
other contestants and some of their pictures.
I got an autograph of the X Factor host Konnie Huq. When
Usher was preforming it was so loud I almost went deaf.
And as well as that I was sitting at the front ,behind the
judges and when the fireworks went off it was really hot
I thought it was really fun and I hope I can go back
again . Sean Cosgrave 6th class.
Spin Roller Disco
Last week me and my friends went to the
Spin Roller Disco . It is 15 euro in for 4
hours . The roller disco starts at 7.30 p.m.
to 11.30 p.m. .It is located on the Kylemore
Road.We really enjoyed ourselves. It is
suitable for boys and girls from ages 12 to
15. A lot of people do the shuffle It is

Mathletics
Lots of children from the school are joining mathletics.It is going to help people learn a bit
more maths and also it is really fun for children.If children want to keep playing mathletics
they have to bring in 3 euro or if you want join and you are not pupils in St. Mark’s you have
to pay 40 euro Ruta
D.E.A.R. Time
D.E.A.R. Drop Everything And Read is on next week from
Monday 18th October to Thursday 20th October daily from
12.45 - 1.00 p.m.
My G.A.A. Match
Hi my name is Jack Lowth. I am in the St.Marks GAA Club I had a match against
Westmanstown Gaels on Saturday last. We really needed to win that match. St. Mark’s
really played well and in the end we actually hammered them.We won by three goals. It
was a really good match.

Book Fair 2010
ON THE 6TH OF OCTOBER, OUR CLASS WAS
CALLED DOWN TO LOOK AT THE BOOKS FOR THE
BOOK FAIR. THERE WERE BOOKS FOR ALL
AGES.SOME BOOKS WERE EIGHT EURO AND
OTHERS WERE AS LITTLE AS ONE EURO! THEN ON
FRIDAY THE 8TH WE BROUGHT IN OUR MONEY TO
BUY THE BOOKS.I BOUGHT A BOOK CALLED
‘WUTHERING HIGHTS’. THE BOOK FAIR WENT ON
TILL WEDNESDAY THE 13TH. IT COMES EVERY
YEAR, SO MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR MONEY
IN NEXT YEAR!

St. Mark’s Junior Football Team
On Tuesday 12th October St. Mark’s Junior Football Team played Our Ladys G.A.A. Club. It
was a really hard match. We won. They weren’t the hardest team we’ve played but I reckon
we were the hardest that they had played. Luke Sheridan from Ms. Fowler’s class was Man

Horse Riding
Hi my name is Megan and I go horse
riding. If you want to join it is on in
Fettercairn every Saturday at 10 o’
clock . It is really good fun.
