The catheters (patented) Lisi Ject for peridurolysis or decompressive percutaneous adhesiolysis (PDD) via sacral hiatus, thanks
to its characteristics of ease use, efficiency and operative potential, are considered by leading experts in interventional antalgic
techniques the proper evolution of catheters on the market today. For the insertion of catheters we have designed and produced four
types of LJ-INTRO (patented), introducer needles able to meet all operators’ necessities.
LJ-INTRO-S is an introducer needle armed with a flexible cannula, a mandrel needle for first puncture; and a second one flexible
and radiopaque with a rounded tip for the attainment of the ideal site for the introduction of the catheter. The braid of 32 steel wires,
prevents that the cannula could kink or crush. This introducer is particularly suitable for the insertion in a partially or totally clogged
sacral hiatus.
LJ-INTRO-T-1; T-2; T-3 are introducer needles with similar characteristics to the Thuoy needle. The first two are straight, the last
one is curved. These needles have a metal structure, but they are totally or partially covered by a plastic sheath to prevent that the
catheters could be damaged or even sheared in the advancement and removal phase. The catheters Lisi Ject are supplied with a
steel stiffener mandrel. This mandrel, gives structure to the catheter and facilitates the control during insertion and also allows the
injection of viscous fluids and medications without its removal. The Lisi Ject family can be equipped with two types of preformed
mandrels in Nitinol (patented) that facilitate the procedural maneuvers. The first spindle, called Snake (for its serpentine shape) can
be used in the retraction phase of the catheter to remove the adhesions and open the action field. The second, angled at 30 ° in
the distal end, serves to accurately achieve the foramen to treat. These spindles are mounted on catheters after removing the steel
mandrel stiffener. Also the spindles in Nitinol allow to infuse fluids or medications without their removal.
The catheters Lisi Ject are also available in a electrified version: Lisi Ject for stimulation, Lisi Ject RF + monopolar with thermocouple
for pulsed radiofrequency; Lisi Ject RF + + bipolar with thermocouple for pulsed radiofrequency; Lisi Ject RF + Flex monopolar with
flexible braided electrode and thermocouple for pulsed radiofrequency in sites tortuous; Lisi Ject bipolar RF + + Flex with flexible
braided electrode and thermocouple for pulsed radiofrequency in tortuous sites. Those catheters for the treatment of neuro modulation
transmit radio frequency currents in the root region, ganglion, cranial and peripheral nerves. The “stunning” effect applied to the
nerve resets the painful information and the pain relief goes to medium to long term (over six months), in addition, the method
is absolutely repeatable. The treatment is performed in patients who have received repeated drug therapies, infusion with modest
benefit. Also in this case, the indication treatment goes from neuralgic disorders to neuropathic pain also irradiated to the limbs.

them 10mm, positioned in the distal end and with an extension of 250 cm.
with connector for radiofrequency generator (Specify the generator brand in the
order).
nitinol preformed mandrels
The Nitinol structure allows to memorize the curves and have a torsion control
1:1.
Snake Mandrel: with distal end shaped like a serpentine with decreasing coils; it
serves to animate the movement of the catheter to remove the adhesions and to
advance in the epidural channel, in impervious or partially obstructed spaces.
Angled Mandrel: with a distal end angled 30°, allows the catheter orientation
and perfectly positioning inside the foramens. The mandrels are inserted into the
catheter after removing the mandrel stiffener steel (already fitted) and allow to
perform infusions of drug without being removed.
introducer needles
For the insertion of Lisi Ject catheter are available four types of introducer
needles:
Standard: needle with braided cannula already armed with 32 steel wires, to
entry in the hiatus. This introducer is equipped with a second radiopaque and
flexible mandrel with blunted tip for the positioning of the cannula after the initial
puncture. The arm of the cannula allows its flexion without kinking and avoid the
partial occlusion from bone compression.
Model T-1; T-2; T3: are needles that derivate from Thouy needle and can be
used for dorsal or cervical puncture. Their structure is in steel but apart the point
of the mandrel, that must be removed, the rest of the mandrel is covered by a
plastic sheath. This protection avoid that the needle could lacerate the catheter
for peridurolysis in phase of insertion and removal. The T-1 model is straight and
totally covered; the T-2 is straight and the cannula is partially covered (distal
end); the T-3 model is curved and the cannula is partially covered (distal end).
