Your son/daughter has been recommended for Brass Day where they will have the opportunity to play in a Brass Band at their level. The day will consist of a mixture of fun musical activities with brass ensemble playing at the heart of it all. TIMETABLE Registration 9.00 - 9.15 am Rehearsal sessions from 9:15 am Lunch 12.45 - 1.20 pm Concert 2:30 pm Day finishes 3.00 pm (please arrange for your child to be collected) CONCERT A short concert of pieces which will have been prepared during the day will start at 2:30pm. Families and Head teachers are most welcome to attend this at The Knights Templar School. Please note that there is NO parking on site at Knights Templar School. Your instrument A named music stand Any accessories you need to play - all clearly labelled (i.e. Valve Oil) Your lunch Uniform is not required for this day unless your school requests otherwise. Music for the course will be provided, you do not need any of your current music books. COURSE FEE There is a charge of £20.00 for the day, which is needed to provide music and to cover tuition and administration costs. We would however, wish that no child should be disadvantaged by not being able to pay the fee. As the places are limited they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you do not get a place this time, you will be informed by telephone and then your cheque will be returned to you. PERMISSION Please ensure that your application form is signed by both a parent/carer and your headteacher, granting permission to attend. Entries received without this will not be accepted. Parents should then return the completed form to North Herts Music School. Please do not return it to your school or teacher to forward. We sometimes use photography for publicity, printed information, display and exhibition purposes relating to Hertfordshire Music Service. Please indicate in the box on the form if you DO NOT wish your child to be photographed. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Hertfordshire County Council’ APPLICATION Please complete the details on the Application Form and send it to North Herts Music School to arrive by: 20th February, 2017 If you would like to receive confirmation of a place, please provide your email address on the application form. LATE ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED On this occasion, we can only accept a maximum number of 80 students. Please note that once we have reached this limit, we will be unable to accept any further applications, even if this is before the cut-off date.
