60 Degrees East derives its name from the longitude in the Indian Ocean off the coast
of Oman, recognised as one of the world’s most unpolluted exotic marine environments.
The hub of our business is the Arabian Peninsula, where we work directly with local
fishing communities to source the finest quality, fresh fish.
What we do
At 60 Degrees East our mission is to deliver the experience and delight of the Indian
Ocean, leveraging our expertise to provide an innovative range of sustainably sourced,
finest quality, fish and crustaceans for clients who want exceptional taste and the highest
quality at competitive prices.
From our base in the Sultanate of Oman, our native English-speaking team has developed
an excellent logistics network and are strategically placed close to international airports,
enabling our produce to be delivered fresh each day into the UK and Europe.

Sustainable Fishing and the Environment
60 Degrees East is a responsible corporate citizen committed to safe practices,
environmental stewardship and conducting business in an ethical manner.
Our Commitment
Oman’s fishing waters are amongst the
richest in the world and its government is
committed to ensuring the environmental
sustainability of the fisheries. Trawling
has been banned and instead traditional
Omani fishing is being promoted.
In the latest FAO* Fisheries and
Aquaculture report this region falls in the
under-exploited or moderately-exploited
category for fish captures.
Respecting the fishing regulations of the
Sultanate of Oman and the wider Indian
Ocean, 60 Degrees East procure fish only
from traditional, artisan fishing operations
using the hand line (single hook) method.
This eliminates by-batch and discards,
reduces the impact on the seabed of
trawling and allows fishermen to have
great selectivity.

Friend of the Sea initiative as part of our
involvement in sustainable fishing.

Crustaceans
Our Lobsters, Baby Octopus and Shrimps
are always in high demand. We offer:
Whole Rock Lobster - Packed whole or
processed in tails.
Whole Sand Lobster - Packed whole or
processed in tails.
Baby Octopus, which are land frozen.
Shrimps are mainly packed as head-on,
shell-on.
