Couplet: Two lines of verse that rhyme, sometimes found at the end of a sonnet, each line has a
similar number of syllables.
Below are some examples of couplets about Valentine’s Day.
 You’d win in a race to my heart
you already had it from the start.
 Your love is a cool breeze on a hot day
you make everything feel okay.
 I hate Valentine’s Day
I wish it would just go away.
Shakespeare uses couplets throughout his writing. Some examples from Romeo and Juliet
include;
 Did my heart love till now? Foreswear it, sight.
