In doing so, Randle became just the sixth player in the NBA in 2016-17 to have multiple triple-doubles (R. Westbrook, J. Harden, L. James, G. Antetokounmpo, and D. Green). o It was the first triple-double against Memphis in an NBA-long streak of 177 games (192 including the postseason). His first triple-double of the season came 11/15/16 vs. BKN with 17 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. o Randle’s first career triple-double came 3/25/16 vs. DEN (13 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 assists). He is one of only seven Lakers (M. Johnson, K. Bryant, P. Gasol, V. Divac, L. Odom, and K. Abdul-Jabbar) to have multiple triple-doubles since at least 1979-80. DUO FROM DEEP Nick Young and D’Angelo Russell became the first pair of teammates in Lakers history to record 6+ three-pointers in consecutive games 1/1 vs. TOR and 1/3 vs. MEM. Young went 7-9 vs. TOR and 6-11 vs. MEM, and Russell went 6-12 vs. TOR and 6-9 vs. MEM. These games account for two of the four occurrences in Lakers history where a pair of teammates each made at least six three-pointers. o The other two times: Wesley Johnson and Shawne Williams (six apiece) 11/29/13 and Derek Fisher and Kobe Bryant (six apiece) 1/6/09. THREE FOR ALL The Lakers hit a season-high 17 three-pointers 1/3 vs. MEM (17-33, 51.5%), falling just two short of the franchise record of 19, done twice (2/28/14 vs. SAC and an overtime contest 12/17/06 vs. WAS). It was just the eighth time in franchise history that the team made at least 17 triples in regulation. The Lakers made 16 three-pointers in back-to-back games 12/17 at CLE and 12/20 at CHA, the first time in franchise history the Lakers have made 16+ triples in consecutive games. L.A. has made 16+ triples in regulation 15 times in franchise history (four coming this season). WIN VERSUS THE WARRIORS The Lakers had their most convincing win of the season 11/4 against the reigning Western Conference champions, 117-97: L.A. never trailed, leading wire-to-wire. The Laker lead was as large as 22 points, the largest lead of the season. o The 20-point margin of victory was a season-high. The 41 second quarter points marked the first time the Lakers have scored 40+ points in a quarter since 3/25/14 vs. NYK (51 points, 3rd quarter). Los Angeles held a +11 rebounding edge and scored 64 points in the paint (3246 shooting).
