How does that "unmerited divine
assistance," or God's grace, impact or
alter the way in which we function as
Church Business Administrators?
How receptive are we to receiving
God's grace? Are there particular
individuals or groups with whom you
struggle in this area? Are there areas
of your life, or in your job, in which you
cling to your own reputation and good
works?
Reverend Jane E. Vennard will be
exploring the subjects of God's grace as
it appears in our work, and how we can
draw upon God's store of grace from
day to day, at the Mile High Chapter's
next meeting on Friday morning,
January 11, 2013 at Bethany Lutheran
Church.
Rev. Vennard is the Louise Warren
Iliff Senior Adjunct Faculty in Prayer
and Spirituality at the Iliff School of
Theology in Denver, on the University
of Denver campus. She earned her
B.A. from Wellesley College, her M.A.
from Stanford University and her
M.Div. from San Francisco Theological
Seminary. She is ordained in the
United Church of Christ.
In addition to Iliff, Rev. Vennard has
taught at the Pacific School of Religion,
Vancouver School of Theology,
Columbia Seminary and GarrettEvangelical Theological Seminary.
She is also a regular faculty presenter
with The Upper Room Academy for
Spiritual Formation, teaches classes in
a variety of ecumenical settings, leads
retreats internationally, and is the
author of numerous articles and six
books.
Is there a better way to begin a New
Year in our chosen profession than to
spend an hour refreshing our
awareness, our understanding of how
our God gifts us as we serve our
respective church communities? The
short answer is "NO!" Make your
reservation to attend the upcoming
Mile High Chapter meeting on
January 11 today by contacting Debbie
Boyer at 303.798.1356 or

Smile—Some things to think about:
~ Can you cry under water?
~ Since bread is square, then why
is sandwich meat round?
~ Why do you have to "put your
two cents in"...but it's only a
"penny for your thoughts"?
Where's that extra penny going?
~ Once you're in heaven, do you
get stuck wearing the clothes you
were buried in for eternity?
~ Why does a round pizza come in
a square box?
~ What did cured ham actually
have?
~How is it that we put man on
the moon before we figured out it
would be a good idea to put
wheels on luggage?
