‘The Pardoner’s Tale’ by Chaucer Teaching notes This activity was originally published on the Collaborative Learning website and is well suited for use with EAL students. Start by giving the selection of pictures to groups of students and invite them to make-up their own thriller storyboard. They could stick the pictures onto a large sheet of paper and produce a text to read to the rest of the class. Students could plan their story in their first language and then feedback in English. The main purpose of the activity is to communicate meaning. Later you can read a summary of ‘The Pardoner’s Tale’ and invite students to place the pictures in order. Theses drawings were produced by Claudine Field in 1985. © www.teachit.co.uk 2011 15541 Page 1 of 3 ‘The Pardoner’s Tale’ by Chaucer © www.teachit.co.uk 2011 15541 Page 2 of 3 ‘The Pardoner’s Tale’ by Chaucer © www.teachit.co.uk 2011 15541 Page 3 of 3
