This class is an introduction to creative
movement and tumbling techniques.
Ages 6 & older, Saturday 9:00am - 10:30am
10 weeks, starts January 16
$80 members I $90 non-members
($35 materials fee)
Explore the ancient art of building with clay.
Students will learn the various techniques of
hand building, such as coil, slab, and pinchpot. There will also be an opportunity to throw
clay on the potter's wheel. After building their
projects, students will learn the art of adding
color through the process of glazing.
Thursdays 2:00pm - 7:00pm
Saturdays 9:00am - 1:OOpm

Ceramics with Michael
Tap, Ballet & Modern
Two-Dimensional Art Classes
Ages 18 & older, Thursdays 6:30pm - 8:30pm
10 weeks, starts January 21
$80 members I $90 non-members
($35 materials fee)
Students will create ceramic pieces of art with
the techniques of wheel throwing using a
pottery wheel. This class will focus on
centering, pulling, and shaping the clay by
making simple vases, bowls, and cups.
Students will finish with adding color by
glazing their work.

Ages 7 & older, Saturday 11 :OOam - 12:00pm
8 weeks, starts January 16

This is an introduction to dance with an
emphasis on movement, rhythm, and
terminology.
Age 16 & older, Saturday 1:30pm - 3:30pm
6 weeks, starts April 2
$80 members I $90 non-members
Students will learn how to use the camera
correctly and creatively to make better
pictures. Class will be hands-on so bring a
DSLR camera (no point and shoot cameras
please). Fully charge the camera's battery
prior to each class. Students may bring and
use a laptop or tablet to view images in class.
The class will include a field trip; however,
transportation will be the responsibility of the
student.
Ages 18 & older, Saturdays 11 :OOam - 1:OOpm
6 weeks, starts January 16
$85 members I $95 non-members
{$35 materials fee)
Learn the joy of turning wood into beautiful
and functional pieces of art in this beginner's
class. With an emphasis on safety and wood
turning principles, students will learn how to
use and maintain a lathe and sharpen tools.
Students will explore basic wood turning
exercises with simple projects to build their
skills, progressing to the techniques that will
help you to make bowls and small platters.
The studios of the PCAC will be open to
students' age 16 years and older currently
enrolled in a three-dimensional art class.
Open studio students must yield to members
of a class in session. WOODSHOP MUST
HAVE A DAW INSTRUCTOR PRESENT AT
ALL TIMES. PLEASE CALL TO MAKE
ARRANGEMENTS.
Tuition costs and material fees are subject to
change. Scholarship matching funds may be
available for eligible students who arrange
with the PCAC Director prior to the first class
meeting.
