They were doing a great job. When you go to Washington, what do you schedule? Why don't you inform us of your agenda? Andy Coyne kept us informed up to the minute when he was with the AARO group for door-knock. Why didn't you do the same? What's wrong with you? I repeated requested information on a daily basis and got a weather report about the snow as an answer. That was "lamentable"! 4/1/2016 11:00 PM 7 Keep up the excellent work. 3/31/2016 3:01 PM 8 I only spend half my time in Paris so my contribution time is limited. 3/22/2016 6:46 PM 9 no 3/22/2016 6:02 PM 10 Question 24 should include the none of the above option 3/21/2016 11:58 AM 11 Facebook: more content and more frequently 3/21/2016 9:25 AM 12 No 3/20/2016 10:08 PM 35 / 43 2016 General Membership 13 SurveyMonkey I joined to be eligible for the insurance plan, but then found that it is incredibly non-user friendly compared to other expatriate insurance options. I went with Cigna in the end because they seem to 'get' expat needs much better (apps, uploads, remote and electronic everything... AARO insurance seems to only benefit those in Paris. THANK you 3/17/2016 6:12 PM 21 Increasing membership is not the goal, per se, I think, but rather expanding the membership base to as many other countries as possible, so we can understand the issues of Americans there and represent them better. 3/17/2016 5:18 PM 22 No 3/17/2016 4:15 PM 23 AARO is too Paris-centric 3/17/2016 2:20 PM 24 More info on Medicare and Social Security issues for ex-pats returning to the States would be helpful to have. 3/17/2016 12:40 PM 25 Visibility must be increased to other countries 3/17/2016 12:37 PM 26 The UK has thousands of full time students from the US, many will stay; they are a good demographic for AARO to target 3/17/2016 12:16 PM 27 No, you're doing a fine job. 3/17/2016 11:53 AM 28 Not at this time. 3/17/2016 11:27 AM 29 no, you are doing very well 3/17/2016 10:10 AM 30 no 3/17/2016 10:05 AM 31 too Paris centric 3/17/2016 10:04 AM 32 Thanks for your work re FATCA and FBAR. I'm wondering why that couldn't be expanded to cover expats on medicare. Since I believe it only covers emergencies and they already have a method of doing this for three month time periods, I don't think it would be administratively difficult. It's certainly unjust to exclude expats from this benefit we have and continue to pay for. 3/17/2016 7:05 AM 38 Not getting the group rate - AARO's brochure mentions no other - is realy a big issue with us 3/17/2016 3:05 AM 39 would appreciate practical information about retirement issues, including visa issues, taxation, coordination of US medical insurance with supplemental insurance abroad 3/17/2016 2:47 AM 40 AARO's single-minded goal of late of having the US apply resident-based taxation has led it to bed down with anti- 3/17/2016 2:09 AM tax crusaders in the US, amplifying the organization's tendency to cater solely to the interests of wealthy, often older individuals, to the detriment of increasing membership. If AARO were as focused on creating an organizational environment that encourages a broader membership rather than applauding threats of renouncing citizenship it might not only gain membership but come closer to achieving taxation policies that are of greater interest to Americans abroad than simply eliminating tax compliance issue that affect the wealthy. 41 Keep up the good work 3/17/2016 12:56 AM 42 Not on point, but: People who work tend to work in 8th arr.
