Microsoft Home User Program (HUP) for LCPS employees –
Microsoft Office is now available for home use on personally owned equipment to LCPS
employees. The employee must have a Loudoun Enterprise Active Directory (LEAD)
account, since those are the only employees covered under this agreement. There are
some rules for use that you must follow if you are interested in using this program.

Rules of the HUP –
• The software is only available to LCPS employees not students or family
members
• Only Microsoft Office is available through this program
• You can only get the latest version of Microsoft Office through this program,
which may not be the current version used in LCPS
• This is a right to use program – if you leave LCPS employment you must uninstall
the software
• You must personally purchase the download/DVD backup of the software in
order to get the individual license key (again – this does not mean you own the
software, just the right to use it while employed by LCPS)
• You must choose between Windows and MAC versions, you can only get one
• You can only order one time through this program until the version changes
• You must read and agree to the Terms of Use posted during the purchase
• You must follow the directions to have valid use of the program. If downloads
are not preformed properly or directions online followed expressly there is limited
recourse for correction
• You are allowed to install the software on 2 personally owned units
If you have read and understand the Rules listed above and would like to
purchase Microsoft Office under the HUP agreement, please follow the steps
below 1. Go to http://hup.microsoft.com/
2. Select the country to which they want their order to be shipped to and choose
the language for viewing the order Web site
3. Enter your LCPS e-mail address
4. Enter the LCPS program code - Program Code is: F28B52EB77

Once eligibility has been confirmed you will see the directions below – make sure you
follow them carefully. The cost will vary based on if you do download only or purchase
a DVD.
5. Place the order online by following the directions in the e-mail you receive in
your personal e-mail account (not your LCPS account – per the online directions)
6. The backup DVD if purchased will be shipped to the location you have chosen.
