Year 7 History End-of-Year Test 2014 Topics to revise: 1 – Chronology (BC/AD, etc). 2 – The Battle of Hastings and the Norman Conquest. 3 – King John. 4 – Thomas Becket. 5 – The Peasants’ Revolt. 6 – The importance and role of the Church. 7 – The Black Death. Your teacher may also have taught some lessons on topics such as the Crusades, the Hundred Years War, Scotland in the Middle-Ages, the Wars of the Roses…. Each History teacher will provide a test paper that is appropriate to their classes, don’t worry! How to Revise Don’t panic or stress! You will want to do your best – but we don’t ‘set’ in Year 8 History, you will be taught as a form group – so your test result will not determine which class you are in for History next year. Revise for 20 minutes at a time; less than 20 minutes isn’t enough; more than 20 minutes is too much. Learn when the events happened; who was involved and why. It is more important that you understand the ‘causes and consequences’ of an event rather than the exact dates. The Test Paper You will answer about 20 quick questions; then you will write a short essay. You will do all of this in one History lesson.
