Once you’re set up with O2 and you’ve switched it on in your iPhone settings, you’re good to
go. No need to sign up, register or download an app. If you’re connected to a Wifi network, or
you’ve got a 4G signal, you’ll automatically use Wifi and 4G Calling with no interruption to your
calls. Calls made by Wifi and 4G Calling are included as part of your usual tariff allowance, and
out of bundle calls are charged at your standard rate.

You’ll be able to make and take calls on the London Underground using Wifi, and more public
places are being added all the time. Calls on 4G will also sound much better.
Wifi and 4G Calling won’t work with some other O2 services including TU Go, Just Call Me,
Mobex and Mobile Voice Recording, you’ll need to remove these to use it. Don’t worry though, if
you change your mind later you can always switch back through My O2 or contact us and we’ll
be happy to help.

It’s Here... The Samsung Galaxy S8

The all-new S8 (and S8 Plus) smartphones are finally here,
and we’re bowled over by the upgrades that Samsung
have managed to pack into their 2017 flagship models...
Building on the hugely successful design of 2016’s Galaxy S7
Edge, Samsung has stripped away the bezels and buttons to
make room for a stunning 5.8” 1,440 x 2,960px Infinity Display
on the S8 model that almost completely fills the face of the
phone and curves seamlessly around the edges. It’s clear that
Samsung has focused on exceptional design and raw power,
without the need for any gimmicks to increase the appeal of
the new S8 range.
Rapid is the new 4 hour UK-wide handset
replacement service from Vodafone.
In the performance stakes, the Galaxy S8 is, of-course, one
of the most powerful smartphones available today, boasting
an octa-core Exynos CPU and featuring the world’s first 10nm
processor chip, so expect lightning-fast performance and
fantastic battery life.
Whatever it takes, if your phone is accidentally
damaged, lost, stolen, or has simply stopped
working, Vodafone will get a replacement to
you almost anywhere in the UK within 4 hours,
if your claim is made between 8am and 4pm
Monday to Friday or 8am and 2pm Saturday.
And if you need a new SIM card, you’ll receive
it with the phone too.
Camera-wise, the S8 features a new multi-frame image processor that takes three shots every
time you take a snap, reducing blur and resulting in a sharper shot, and the front facing camera
now features an 8MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and auto focus.
In fact, Vodafone is so committed to getting
you up and running again, that for every hour
beyond the 4th hour of the delivery window
you’ll receive £10, up to a maximum of £40!
Being a Samsung, we’ve come to expect wireless charging and an IP68 dust proof and water
resistant rating, and the Galaxy S8 doesn’t disappoint.
The Galaxy S8 comes with the latest version of Android 7 ‘Nougat’, overlaid with it’s own
custom interface. We have to say that this is an absolute pleasure to use and certainly marks
a huge departure from Samsung’s former ‘TouchWiz’ skin. And with the software updates also
comes Bixby, Samsung’s new take on an intelligent assistant to rival Siri or Google Assistant.
It’s still early days for Bixby, but we can see huge potential for this over the coming months.
Samsung clearly has big plans for it, given that it’s added a dedicated launch button on the S8.
The claims process is simple and there are no
forms to fill in. Simply call Vodafone between
8am and 9pm Monday to Saturday and the
rest is taken care of. No fuss. No delay.

your billing address, and it will come ready to
use with battery charge to ensure you’re not
delayed any further.
