Aim: To show your knowledge and understanding of population problems in poor
countries (LEDC’s) and how these may be solved.
Task
Imagine you work for an international charity such as ‘Population Concern’, ‘Red
Cross’ or ‘Save the Children’. Using what you have learned in lessons on
population and any other relevant information you can find – books, newspapers
and the Internet:Design a leaflet for your charity,
To complete your leaflet, do the following tasks.
1. Describe the location, and population distribution of one LEDC.
2. Explain the reasons for population change and the problems this may cause.
3. Present your work to raise awareness and encourage people to give money.
4. Offer solutions to the population problems you have identified.
