Solubility Rules
1. All Group I ions, and ammonium are soluble.
2. All nitrates, chlorates and acetates are soluble.
3. All halides (group 17) are soluble except with silver (I), copper (II), lead (II),
and mercury (I), and iron (III).
4. Sulfates are soluble except with barium, lead(II), strontium, silver, and calcium.
5. All carbonate, phosphate and sulfite are insoluble, except with group IA and
ammonium.
6. All oxides and hydroxides are insoluble except with group IA, calcium,
strontium and barium.
7. Sulfides are insoluble except with Group IA and IIA elements and ammonium.
