They are currently looking for a Level II Water/Level III Wastewater Operator/Supervisor for a brand new Municipal water and wastewater treatment facility located in Bragg Creek, Alberta (within a half hour drive of Calgary). Job Description and Duties: Operate & maintain Level II Water (GE MBR) & Level III Wastewater (Siemens MBR) Treatment Plants. Supervise a small number of staff at the plant. Collect and analyze samples. Process interpretation and adjustment according to the lab results. Be able to do minor maintenance on chemical injection systems. Calibrate lab equipment, on line equipment and some instrumentation. Process troubleshooting and regular on call rotation. Compile and complete reports for appropriate government agencies and all the required documentation. Promote a positive image of the client. Be willing to advance their Certification and training. Any other tasks related to the position. Profile of the sought person: Good organization & communication skills. Good computer and technical skills. Be motivated, available and responsible. Good attendance, flexibility and interpersonal skills. Job Requirements: Diploma in Water and Wastewater Technician Program. 3 years experience in the water & wastewater treatment field. Level II Water/Level III Wastewater Operator Qualification. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Facility Description: The plants are both brand new and recently completed by Maple Reinders (www.maple.ca). The water plant is a GE Membrane Bioreactor Plant (ZBox M model) with a 1325 m3/day capacity. This plant is scalable, highly reliable and is user friendly for operators. The wastewater system is a Siemens TM Xpress Membrane Bioreactor. The system is a robust wastewater treatment process designed to reduce maintenance and provide reliable and efficient wastewater treatment for smaller scale operations. GE MBR Z-Box M Model Water Plant Community of Bragg Creek Description: The hamlet of Bragg Creek, Alberta is a historical and lively community located 30 km West of Calgary (via Highway 8 and Highway 22) at the confluence of the Elbow River and Bragg Creek. The hamlet of Bragg Creek has a population of 550 people but the community is at the heart of a much larger rural region and it serves as the commercial and cultural hub for the surrounding area. The greater Bragg Creek area is forested community is nestled on the Eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, adjacent to Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. A variety of recreational activities exist in the area including: Bragg Creek Provincial Park and the Canyon Creek Ice Cave, numerous hiking/biking trails, equestrian trails and picnic/camping areas.
