EXTERNAL SPEAKERS
Alejandro Agag
CEO of Formula E Holdings
Alejandro Agag initiated the new FIA Formula E
Championship, the world’s first fully-electric racing
series. He started his career in 1999, when he won a
seat in the European Parliament, becoming the
youngest Spanish person to ever do so at the age of
28. After 2001 he decided to leave the world of
politics and move into motorsport where together
with his business partner Flavio Briatore, they
purchased the F1 TV rights in Spain. A few years
later, Agag purchased the Campos Racing GP2
Team, revamping it into the highly successful
Barwa Addax Team. After investing in English
football club QPR, Agag, together with his
business partner Enrique Bañuelos, founded
Formula E Holdings, winning the tender to promote
the new FIA Formula E Championship.
Hugh Evans
CEO Global Poverty Project
Hugh Evans’ passion for poverty eradication was
sparked at the age of 14 whilst on a World Vision
trip in the Philippines. Living with his host family in
a Manila Slum, Hugh Evans was struck by the
injustice of a world in which birthplace determines
your life prospects. The abject poverty he was
exposed to Manila, and his experiences in India the
following year, led him to begin his work challenging the status quo of extreme poverty. In 2008,
with grants from the United Nations, Australian
government and British government, Hugh Evans
built his impact in the aid and development sector,
co-founding the Global Poverty Project (GPP).
GPP is an education and advocacy organization
committed to increasing the number and
effectiveness of individuals taking action to end
extreme poverty.
Marc Forster
Film Director
Marc Forster most recently directed the Paramount
tent pole and box office success World War Z,

Best Actor Comedy Motion Picture), Finding
Neverland (7 Oscar nominations, DGA nomination
and 4 Golden Globe nominations), and Monster’s
Ball (2 Oscar nominations). Marc Forster also
directed the 22nd James Bond franchise’s
Quantum of Solace, starring Daniel Craig, and it
was the first Bond film ever to be completed ahead
of schedule and under budget, and became one of
the highest grossing films in the franchise’s history,
with a worldwide box office of more than $586
million.
Alexandros Giannakis
CEO and founder of SenseCore
Alexandros Giannakis has 13 years of experience
in innovation and risk management. In 2008,
he founded SenseCore – a unique wearable
technologies company, leading it through capital

astroparticle physics at the DESY laboratory,
where he oriented the particle physics groups at
DESY towards LHC by joining both large
experiments, ATLAS and CMS.
Michio Kaku

Michio Kaku’s goal is to complete Einstein’s dream
of a ‘theory of everything’, to derive an equation,
perhaps no more than one inch long, which will
summarise all the physical laws of the universe.

branch of string theory, which is the leading
candidate today for the theory of everything. Michio
