The Europamobil-Team consists of students coming from different European countries. Below
you will find their presentations.
Adela Pintea, Romania
Hello everyone, I am Adela and I come from Western Romania, but I
consider myself as a “European.” I am 22 years old and I am currently
studying for my joint master’s degree in Comparative European
studies (French language). I am passionate about travelling, learning
foreign languages and getting to know other cultures. That is why for
the past years I have been participating in all sorts of international
programmes, ranging from Model European Union to summer
schools on European Affairs. I enjoy being an active member of my
community, that is why I volunteered for several years in different
NGOs that aim to stimulate civic initiatives. One of the most
memorable experiences that I have had was during the semester I spent abroad as an Erasmus
student in Prague, when I had the opportunity to grow not only as a student, but also as a
person. I expect the “Europamobil” project to be a great experience!
Alexandros Maros, Greece
I am Alexander-Photius Maros. I am 22 years old, and I am from
Greece. I have got a Bachelor in History with first-class honors from
the University of Thessaly; currently, I am a third-year undergraduate
student of the department of Archaeology of the same university. My
professional endeavours and aspirations are to be a researcher and
professor in Historical Anthropology, specialized in religion. As far as
my private life is concerned, I am fond of spending much time with
my friends and my family. In addition, I am keen on playing
badminton, swimming, hiking, watching movies and cartoons, reading, chatting and taking trips.
Aude Birchen-Combescure, France
I studied Economies in Lyon, France, where I also worked during the
summertime for an institution that organizes voluntary services. Over
the years, I realized that my studies didn’t correspond to what I was
actually doing in my free-time, since I was seduced by travelling and
getting to know different cultures. For the first time I was captured by
the European spirit in Estonia where I stayed for four months and
then in Russia where I worked for six months with disabled children within the framework of a
voluntary service. As a participant in "Europe-Mobil" I hope to give others the taste of the
European adventure.
Florian Katzgraber, Germany
Hello everybody!
My name is Florian Katzgraber and I’m 30 years old. I was born in
Germany but I spent my childhood in Brussels Belgium) until I
finished school and went then to France (Bordeaux and Grenoble) to
study. I studied Law and foreign languages and I just finished my
Master of European Studies in Vienna (Austria) and Krakow (Poland).
I’ve been raised up bilingual, German and French, and I am in
addition fluent in English and Spanish. Through my multicultural and
« European » environment which is linked with my diverse heritage, I
consider myself as a true European. I hope, that with the help of the
“Europa-Mobil’ project, I will be able to convey this feeling for
Europe to the younger generation which represents the European future. I am deeply convinced
that the European concept represents not only the present but also the future of our continent.
It should be the basis for the mutual understanding between the peoples and the milestone for
the creation of a common identity.
I consider myself as a very open person that is always ready to live new positive experiences.
Giulia Riccio, Italy
I am Italian and I live in Rome. I am 23 and I have a BA in Political
Science and now I am finishing a Master in European Studies. In
October I will start a Master in International Relations, the last step to
complete my study career in Italy. I am studying in Rome, but I did
some exchange programmes abroad. I did my Erasmus two years ago,
in Oslo, Norway, and it was a unique experience that taught me to live
in another country and to appreciate a different culture. This summer
I stayed for one month in London, attending a Summer School course
about the Middle East at the London School of Economics. I am very
excited to come to Paris and to participate in the project Europamobil. I love travelling and
visiting new places and I am interested in the field of the European Union and international
relations, as my study path shows. Therefore, Europamobil could be a great opportunity to
realise these two goals: travelling around Europe, meeting international students and
contributing to spread some knowledge about the European Union among the future university
students.
Guille Garcia Jurado, Spain
Hi! My name is Guille, I am 25 years old and I am a citizen of the
world. I live in Madrid where I am studying tourism in Rey Juan
Carlos University. I have just finished a shop window design and
visual merchandising course. I am an actor and dancer and I work as a
dancing teacher. I speak Spanish (mother tongue), French (bilingual), English and some Italian; I
consider myself as an outgoing and tolerant person.
Europamobil will be a perfect chance to experience an unforgettable time, sharing a common
activity with people from all over Europe. It would be great to enrich students with our
expertise. Enjoy your life and be yourself.
Iulia Sevestreanu, Romania
I am a fresh graduate in International Relations and European Studies
and this year I am starting my master degree in Management and
Governing. So far I have been invelved in numerous European
activities as a member of European Youth Parliament. I am a very
active person and that is why I always like to keep myself busy, not
precisely like in the workaholic type, because not all the activities that
I get involved into are related to working: I am very fond of traveling,
discovering new places and making an impression of my own of different places and peoples
and not to fall in the trap of stereotypes. And this is the case because I like to think about myself
as an honest person both towards myself and towards others. I put very much emphasis on
communication, fairness and open-minded in human relations.
Laura Bleier, Germany
I am 21 years old and I am from Germany. One year ago, I moved for
my studies from Mannheim to Chemnitz. Since then, I’m studying
European Studies and cultural sciences there. Before that, I was living
in Paris for one year. As a volunteer of ASF (Action Reconciliation
Service for Peace), I was accompanying victims of the Shoah and I was working in archives. My
voluntary service has been a very special and intense time for me. I’m looking forward to our
stay in Paris and I hope I’ll meet many interesting people to discuss with them about Europe
and the European Union.
Lukáš Fúčela, Slovakia
I am a 21 years old student from Slovakia. Since I was very young I
was interested in politics and international affairs, that’s why I have
chosen International Relations as my major. I appreciate having the
possibility of meeting a lot of new people from different countries and
cultures during my studies and my participation in student
organizations. I hope the project "Europamobil" will bring a great
chance to exceed my knowledge about European integration and share
experiences between young people from all over Europe.
Mara Klein, Germany
I am 23 years old and I am currently studying French and Economics
in Berlin. After graduated from high school, I completed a European
Volunteer Service in France and I developed a passion for Europe.
Since then, I have been active as EuroPeers and in the intercultural
exchange. I have just spent 6 months as an Erasmus exchange student
in Spain. I would like to share all those experiences with other
adolescents and encourage them to experience Europe by themselves.
Marta Grytka, Poland
I am Marta and I am from Poland. I am curently studing international
relations at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Since more
than a year I am an acitive member of the European Students’ Forum
AEGEE, local section AEGEE-Poznań, which helps me to develop
my interest in european studies and international relations and gives
me the opportunity meeting people from all european countries.
Currently, I am especially interested in Polish presidency in UE which
is going to take place next year. In my free time I like listening music,
especially french and brazilian, reading books and meeting my friends.
Martina Bugárová, Slovakia
I am a student from Slovakia. I am studying in my third year at the
Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations in Banska
Bystrica. I’m interested in the process of European integration and the
issues related to the Middle East. I am fond of languages and like
horse-riding, dancing and travelling.
Mélanie Vogel, France
My name is Mélanie, I’m 25 and I come from Marseille.
I just finished my studies at the College of Europe, in the political and
administrative studies department, in Bruges. Before that, I was
studying at SciencesPo Paris in the research master "Europe", and I
also hold a degree from the Institute of Political Studies of Toulouse.
I’ve always been passionated by the EU construction process, and I’ve progressively specialized
my self on identity and citizenship questions, as well as on the EU Enlargement Policy. Among
other activities, I currently coordinate a young academics research group for the Foundation for
european progressive studies. I’ve always been deeply convinced that Europe has to "come to
school" to enhance a true integration process, and I’m therefore really looking forward to share
and explain what’s the EU to pupils.
Mira Weihmann, Germany
Hi,I’m from Berlin, 22 years old and I’m studying History and
Scandinavian Studies at the Humboldt University. I just returned from
my Erasmus year in Sweden and I’m looking forward to all the new
experiences I’m going to make with the Europamobil. I went to
school in France for two years and I’m excited to be part of the
French school life once again. Since a while I’m active as a European
to show other young people ways to go abroad. Apart from that I like
listening to music and love going to concerts.
Max Köhler, Germany
My name is Max Köhler. I am a 21-year-old German from the little
centrally situated town called Weimar, which is known for its eventful
history especially in cultural aspects. Grown up with this heritage I
would describe me as an open and curious person, interested in all
kinds of cultural history and activities (above all in literature and
philosophy). At the moment I’m studying Philosophy and Social
Sciences in Berlin (where I was born) at the Humboldt University.
Ofelia Beatris Beke, Romania
Hello, my name is Beke Ofelia Beatris, I am a 3rd year student of
International Relations and European studies at Babes Bolyai
University in Cluj. I am interested in Economics and History. My
interests focus on international economics, European construction
and foreign languages. I love English and French but also Spanish. I
am eager to take advantage of any opportunity that would help me
gain more social skills, knowledge or could expand my horizon so that
I can be a more responsible and active member of my community.
Thats why I recently participated at an Economics-oriented summer
school entitled "Economics through a macrofying glass" held in
Bucarest. I admire Europe’s rich and bountiful countries, and
therefore i consider the Europamobil-project as an enormous
opportunity for me to enrich my personality, both by giving
information about the EU construction, my background, the romanian culture and myself, but
also by getting aquainted to other types of being, in order to better understand what Europe
really is. In my spare time I love reading, listening to music or teaching. I tutor two kids in
English. :) My favourite meal is corn flakes with milk.
Rita Stadtfeld, Germany
Hello! My name is Rita, I’m 23 years old and I’m from Cologne,
Germany. After my graduation I worked nine month as a European
Volunteer in a youth organisation in Cork, Ireland and now I’m a
student of European-Studies at the Technical University of Chemnitz.
Besides the EVS I’ve already profited of the EU in many ways - I took
part in a ’Comenius’-exchange-programme with Spain and Italy during
my school-time and at the moment I’m a leader of a youth-project in
Chemnitz, which is also sponsored by the EU and aims at raising
young
people’s
awareness
of
the
EU.
Besides my studies I also work as an instructor of simulation-games, in
which pupils simulate the European Union and its decision-making
processes.
In my free time I enjoy to travel and to meet friends, I like to cook vegetarian meals and play
Capoeira - a Brazilian martial art.
Valentin Meissner, Germany
I’m 20 years old and I’m coming from Heidenheim that is situated in
the south of Germany. I see myself not as German but rather as a
European citizen. I want to inspire other people with this feeling so
that Europe can rejoin and immingle. Not only the political sphere or
the economy should benefit, but first of all its citizens. Three years
ago I lived in Roubaix at a host family and it was the first time I was a
real European. Recently, I passed my graduation and now I’m going to
render an alternative civilian service in a hospital. After that, I’ll study
medicine.
Veronika Sobolova, Slovakia
Hello, my name is Veronika Sobolova and I am from Slovakia. I have
been studing International Affairs. I have been working for the Euro Atlantic Centre, which is the NGO with the aim of raising public
awareness of international affairs and security issues in the Slovak
Republic. In my free time I like travelling and playing the piano.
Zuzana Vysudilova, Slovakia
My name is Zusana Vysudilova. I was born in Slovakia, where I spent
my childhood and where I went to Primary School and College. Since
my 21st birthday I live in France, in Reims, where I’m currently
studying Law at the Champagne-Ardenne University. Since I didn’t
grow up in my home country and therefore experienced different
cultures, I am especially fond of learning other languages and getting
to know more about the relations between countries. Furthermore,
I’m interested in history, literature (mainly French literature – my
favourite writer is Jean Paul Sartre) and – of course – I’m interested in
everything that is related to juridical questions, since I want to become
a judge. Above all of that, I like getting to know new regions and meeting people from other
countries. Therefore when I read about Europamobile I thought that this is the perfect
opportunity to get to know new people, to travel and to speak foreign languages – so take the
challenge!
