Objective of the Programme:
The contribution of plastics as a packaging material has been unprecedented in recent times. Plastics have
proven to be versatile for packaging of a host of products. With the retail market boom, consumption of
plastics has been on a progressive rise. The conventional forms of plastics such as films, laminates of various
categories, woven sacks, blister packages, containers etc. and their applications are well known.
The objective of this seminar is to disseminate information on the state of the art technology and innovations
in the field of plastics in packaging with respect to materials, converting machinery, systems and testing
aspects. A panel discussion will enable an understanding of the futuristic approaches to the contribution of
plastics in packaging.
