Weekly Newsletter November 29, 2016 Grounded in our Catholic faith and focused on academic excellence, Holy Rosary Catholic School educates the whole child— mind, heart and spirit. Principals Message I want to thank all of you for volunteering at our 3rd annual Thanksgiving Feast. It was another great success with everyone feasting on delicious turkey and all the wonderful side dishes and desserts. I truly felt like we are one Holy Rosary family as everyone helped set up, serve the food, and then clean up the parish hall. It is such a good feeling to see everyone sharing fellowship and pitching in to help. We should be able to give thanks every day of our lives because we are blessed every day. The more we take time to give thanks, the more blessings we will recognize. At the very least, let's take the last couple of days left in November and make it a month of truly giving thanks for all our blessings. I know I am truly grateful to be able to work with such great staff members, caring parents and wonderful students! Our annual adopt a family through the St. Vincent de Paul Society is going on Office Reminders Lost & Found There are a large amount of items gathering in the lost and found in the from office. If your student is missing an item, please have them check the front office. Also, please label all of your student’s articles of clothing. Reminders: now through December 12th. We are asking everyone to assist in donating an item for a less fortunate family for Christmas. We have received 12 families to distribute to each classroom and the office. All gifts need to be wrapped with the family noted and the specific member of the family on the gift tag. Your generosity is so appreciated. God Bless you and your gift of charity. Parents, please continue to monitor and check your child's homework and Accelerated Reader points. These meaningful activities are important to your child's school success. We are helping your child to develop good study and reading skills that will benefit them through high school and college. Now is the time to develop and reinforce these important skills in school and at home. Thanks you for your support in helping your child reach his/her academic potential. It is always a team effort.
