Weekly Newsletter - Holy Rosary Catholic School

Weekly Newsletter
November 29, 2016
Grounded in our Catholic faith and focused on academic excellence, Holy Rosary Catholic School
educates the whole child— mind, heart and spirit.
Principals Message
I want to thank all of you for
volunteering at our 3rd annual
Thanksgiving Feast. It was another
great success with everyone feasting on
delicious turkey and all the wonderful
side dishes and desserts. I truly felt like
we are one Holy Rosary family as
everyone helped set up, serve the food,
and then clean up the parish hall. It is
such a good feeling to see everyone
sharing fellowship and pitching in to
help. We should be able to give thanks
every day of our lives because we are
blessed every day. The more we take
time to give thanks, the more blessings
we will recognize. At the very least, let's
take the last couple of days left in November and make it a month of truly
giving thanks for all our
blessings. I know I am truly grateful
to be able to work with such great
staff members, caring parents and
wonderful students!

Office Reminders
Lost & Found
There are a large amount of items
gathering in the lost and found in the
from office. If your student is missing
an item, please have them check the
front office. Also, please label all of your
student’s articles of clothing.
Reminders:
now through December 12th. We are
asking everyone to assist in donating
an item for a less fortunate family
for Christmas. We have received 12
families to distribute to each
classroom and the office. All gifts
need to be wrapped with the family
noted and the specific member of the
family on the gift tag. Your generosity
is so appreciated. God Bless you and
your gift of charity.
Parents, please continue to monitor
and check your child's homework and
Accelerated Reader points. These
meaningful activities are important to
your child's school success. We are
helping your child to develop good
study and reading skills that will
benefit them through high school and
college. Now is the time to develop
and reinforce these important skills in
school and at home. Thanks you for
your support in helping your child
reach his/her academic potential. It
is always a team effort.

Catholic Life Raffle Tickets
Catholic Life Raffle ticket sales have started! Selling at area churches and businesses is underway!
Emails will be sent out requesting your help with the sale of tickets at specific times and locations.
This is a great way to sell the requested 3 books per student. PLEASE help raise money for HRCS
by signing up to sell . Students who sell the 3 books issued to them and turn money & sold tickets
in by December 1st, will receive a dress down coupon.
When you sell tickets, please remember to turn in tickets and monies in a timely manner. When
selling at a scheduled location, sold tickets , monies and extra unsold tickets, should all be turned
in on the Monday after the scheduled sell day. Sold tickets are collected every week by a Catholic
Life representative. It is imperative that money/checks are not held on for long periods of time.
Remember that all proceeds from the sale of tickets directly benefit Holy Rosary Catholic School.
This year’s grand prize is a choice of a $20,000 Visa gift card, 2017 Ford F-150 truck or a 2017
Ford Fusion Sedan. Each participating school will have a $1,000 prepaid Visa credit card
individual winner drawn from tickets sold by their school. Drawing will be held on Saturday,

St. Vincent de Paul Families
This year we are once again sharing our Christmas with needy families in our area through the
St. Vincent de Paul Society. Each class will be assigned one family. Your child’s teacher will be
sending out the families “wish list” very shortly if they have not done so already. Please
remember do NOT put a name on the gift tag’s “from” section, only fill out the “to” section.
Thank You in advance for your generosity. Your love and kindness will make a family’s Christmas
a brighter.
Art News
We sure know how to make a mess in the art room and are in need of baby wipes. Baby wipes are used to
clean the tables after a hard day of painting. If you can send in a package or two and label them ART, we
would greatly appreciate it!!
