Creating/Editing a MP3 Playlist How to Create/Edit a MP3 Playlist This document explains how to edit or create a playlist for displaying your mp3 songs in the BossBR.net MP3 player. NOTE: All screenshots were taken in Microsoft Internet Explorer. 1. Go to one of your song posts. 2. Right-click on the Download MP3 button. 3. On the context menu, click Copy Shortcut. NOTE: This is the first post that most people created (if they chose to do so), when they first joined the BossBr.net site. If you already have a playlist file: a. Double-click the playlist “.txt” file. b. On the File Download message, click Save. c. Save the file to a folder on your C: drive (or wherever you can easily find it). d. Open the text file, and position the cursor at the beginning of the first line. e. Press ENTER to start a new line. f. Position the cursor at the beginning of the new blank line. g. Continue at step number 5 on page 3. If you don’t already have a playlist file: a. Open Notepad. b. Save the file as “yourname.txt”. c. Position the cursor at the beginning of the first line. d. Paste the path (that you copied in step number 3) at the beginning of the blank line in your playlist text file. 6. Position the cursor at the end of the path text, and type a pipe (|) symbol (this symbol is usually located above the ENTER key), and then type your description text. Your text file should look similar to the image below. 7. Save this text file to your computer (For example “C:\Vanncad.txt”). 8. Go to your Introduction Post and click Modify. 9. Click Additional Options. BossBr.net Tips Issue Date: 2009-10 Page 3 of 6 Creating/Editing a MP3 Playlist 10. Clear the Attached check box (if you already had a playlist), and then click Browse. Go to the location where you saved your new/edited text file. 11. Click Save. 12. In your Introduction post, right-click on the text file, and then click Copy Shortcut. 13. Paste this path wherever you have a link to your MP3 playlist. For example, if you have a link to your playlist in your profile signature line, perform the following steps. a. Type the following into the Signature box: [url=http://64guitars.bossbr.net/Html/BossBR.net/mp3player.html? d. Position the cursor after the question mark (?) and paste the path you copied in step number 11. NOTE: This should be similar to “http://bossbr.net/community/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=3339.0;att ach=4614”. e. Type the closing square bracket (]) f. Type the description for your link. (For example, “My Jukebox”) and then type [/url] Your complete path should look similar to below NOTE: 3339.0 and 4614 will be replaced by the numbers from your own path (Copied in step number 11). g.
