The readers log into their Library accounts using their Library Card numbers
and PIN, as they do to log to “Horizon”. Others can order a single book or a
magazine by entering their names and email addresses, to which there will
be sent information about the status of the order. However, to borrow a book
and enjoy our collections one must subscribe to the Library (the entrance fee
is 10,00 PLN per year) and then return as a reader to log into both the
computer catalogue and the digitized card catalogue.
After putting the books or magazines to the basket and indicating if they are
predestined to be used in the reading room only or for outside borrowing, the
order enters the stage of implementation. The realization of the outside
orders takes two days (the selected items must be catalogued in the
“Horizon”). Prints published until and including 1945 can be ordered only to
the reading room. The share of the old prints is done according to special
rules, strictly defined in the “Regulations of the Library” posted on the
website.
With the digitized data sheets appear icons allowing reporting an error
referring to a specific print and, as a consequence, returning the print to the
digital version of the title, which at this stage includes about 300 items, but
the number of referrals will steadily increase.

Borrowing of other items from the card catalogue
Since January, 1st , 2017, when ordering (in the Library) iconographic units
and cartography, which are not included in the computer catalogue, please,
find the description of a unit in the card catalogue of the special collections
and give its catalogue number to the librarian on duty. After delivering the
selected item the reader must fulfill a reverse.
