Hosted by the Pouch Cove Lions Club. For kids of
all ages, lots of prizes. Cards are $2 each or 3 for

SILVER THREADS BUILDING
Hosted by the Silver Threads 50+ Group. Please
join us for some tea, coffee and muffins. There is
no cost for this event. This event is for all ages!
11:15-2:30 LUNCH AT THE CAPE
MEET AT MEMORIAL SOFTBALL FIELD 11:00AM
Join us for a hike and picnic ‘down to the Cape’.
Drinks will be provided; however, you must pack
your own picnic meal. Please ensure you are
dressed properly and have proper footwear for
the walk. For those wanting to attend but cannot
do the hike, you can drive and meet us at the end
of the road 12:15pm. (SUV or Truck suggested).
4:00 ECUMENICAL SERVICE
ST. AGNES CHURCH
Our ecumenical service will honour our Come
Home Year festival, while commemorating the
100th anniversary of St. Agnes Church.

KIRBY’S GARDEN
Join us as we officially open our festival with the
flag raising, presentations, popcorn & cotton
candy!
7:30 GET ACQUAINTED NIGHT (19+)
ALL SAINTS ANGLICAN HALL
A night to meet others, share old memories, and
have a few dances. Music provided by Merrill
Primroy & Family. Chilli will be served 8:30pm.
Admission is free.

Hosted by the Heritage Society, they invite folks
from near and far to drop in to the Silver Threads
to view their artifact displays, share stories and
have a cup of tea or coffee, no charge.

MEMORIAL UNITED CHURCH
Hosted by the United Church Women. Come
enjoy a lovely soup & sandwich meal. Cost is $6
each, pay at the door.
2:00 BOBBER RACES
SHEA’S RIVER
Hosted by Wreckhouse Ultimate Team. Grab a
bobber and try your luck, $2 each or 3 for $5. Prize
payout is 50/50 of sales. Bobbers will be dunked
into Shea’s River at the bridge on Gully Road and
will be netted at the bottom of Butler’s Road,
Shea’s Bridge. Bobbers will be available at
registration and opening ceremonies.
5:00-6:30 BAKED BEANS SUPPER
ALL SAINTS ANGLICAN HALL
Hosted by the Anglican Church Women. Come
and enjoy a delicious baked beans meal, served
with bologna, homemade bread and tea/coffee
& dessert. Tickets $12 each, available in advance
by calling Jean at 335-2527 / 699-1410 or at the
door.
7:00 SCHOOL REUNIONS (19+)
POUCH COVE LIONS CLUB
Join us for an evening of remembering the good
old times and the good old days. If you went to
school in Pouch Cove, come share your memories
with old friends and faculty members. Photos and
memorabilia will be displayed. Cash bar on site.

Seniors are invited to come out for a social
afternoon. Tea/Coffee and deserts provided.
Musical entertainment provided by High Tide.
SATURDAY JULY 23RD
9:00 EAST COAST TRAIL HIKE
MEET AT LIONS CLUB 8:30AM
We will be hiking the beautiful East Coast Trail from
Flatrock to Stiles Cove. Hikers will be bussed from
the Lions Club to the beginning of the trail. The bus
will leave 8:45am sharp! Please dress properly and
bring a water bottle and small snack. Be sure to
pack a camera for some awesome photos of the
coast!
10:00 MOTORCYCLE RUN
KILLICK COAST COMMUNITIES
Hop on your bike and come along for a ride
through the Killick Coast communities. Meet at the
Town Hall 9:45am. Any questions, please call Garry

memory of Wayne Knight to be presented to
Cape St. Francis Elementary School to benefit their

canteen hosted by the Pouch Cove Firettes! Prize
Draws will take place throughout the evening.

FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHS/HISTORY PROJECT
Bob Brink will be doing feature photographs of
extended Pouch Cove Families during the festival.
The photographs would be taken either at the
family homes or at one of the events. Bob will
collect details from the families, with the stories
being compiled for his website and made into a
book. Participating families will be given a free
8x10 print as well as the digital copies of their
photographs. To participate, please contact Bob
by July 18th, at 335-7967 or [email protected].
FOOD BANK DONATIONS
Help us help others! Please donate to our food
bank during the week. Our donation location will
be in front of the Town Hall.
MERCHANDISE
T-shirts, mugs and postcards will be available for
purchase during the week!
PASSPORTS
Find your passport on the reverse of this page,
attend a minimum of 15 events throughout the
week and obtain a committee member signature
on your passport at each event. Passports must be
passed in by Sunday 6:00pm at Kirby’s Garden.
Prizes will be drawn at the Folk Festival/Closing
Ceremonies.
