Roll Call- Late: Zane Groves Absent: Jordan and Rachel Meeting called to Order at: 11:50
Passing of Minutes- May 11th, 2016 No corrections or additions – minutes accepted as distributed

 Life 201- Awesome life changing weekend. Fire walk was amazing. It served a purpose, could be coming down the
pipeline again!

 SC Dinner- Tuesday May 31st at the Vine in Niles around 6 pm – more info to Council soon.
 Meeting with Adriaan Ferris –
 Pro Rugby - If individuals are not here for workout sessions or scheduled meetings, they should not be
hanging around. They do have access to the cafe for meals.
 Student body should continue to communicate issues or concerns directly with Adriaan Ferris - Incident
reports should be filed if found necessary.

 Basketball Game this Friday! May 20th - BBQ at 6:00 doors open 7:00 tip-off 7:30 p.m.- live stream for those
who don’t have tickets in SPAH - a few tickets are still available in Student Life
 Sign Up to help as volunteers see sheet - . Most spots will be to help Mimi and the grillers with the pregame BBQ from 5-7pm. Volunteers will be meeting tomorrow at 9:20 in Student Life to go over details of
event
 Tickets are FREE to Life West students and they count as your meal ticket as well as your ticket into the
gym. Those who forget or don't have one WILL NOT be allowed in the gym for the game (can watch live
broadcast in Assembly Hall instead) and will have to wait for those with tickets to get their food and drinks
first.

 Super Smash Brothers Tournament – Tomorrow night,, May 19 – 5 p.m. in the lounge and room 110 – cash
prizes – sign up Activities bulletin board.
 Kick Ball Tournament/Potluck Picnic – Event Cancelled. Open to suggestions.

Would love students to take some of the extra papers, pull the Community Section out and drop off at coffee shops,
gyms, yoga studios, etc.
 Ad Manager Position applications will be available in Student Life today.

 Meeting Update from last week -- presented by Jackie Biron
 All of the concerns brought up by the reps the HC Administration were aware of and they are following through on
concerns. Some items have to be held off until the new budget year that begins July 1, 2017.
 New Business- None
 Old Business- None
 Concerns New water system - currently being tested in the Student Lounge- Not sure it will support student population, looking
for feedback
 Reverse osmosis filtration system
 The filters haven't run out, there is a continuous flow.
 What is the possibility of more water systems around campus- gym, health center, multiple in student
lounge, café?
 SF Rugby Schedule for Fitness Center & Gymnasium is still not posted -- students still coming in with
frustrations around them in the space. How many hours are they contracted for? What hours are they supposed to
be here?
 Schedule is being worked on by Adriaan Ferris and the SF Pro Rugby Coaches.
 Café piano playing discussion –
 The TV’s are more annoying than the piano
 People on the piano are disruptive especially during midterms and finals.
 Carpeted area in Cafe was not meant to be a study area, but an area to eat and hang out.
 Can there be consideration for study hours – we don’t have enough quiet study space on campus?
 Idea of designating one classroom each day as a quiet study room Monday – Friday sponsored by SC

 SC Exec will follow up with Student Life to determine what room could be available for the balance
of this quarter and then get it on the schedule for next quarter.
 We will promote and spread the word once this is finalized.
 Seminar attendance- Can the attendance be updated more regularly?

all details.
 HOCKEY TEAM BBQ Fundraiser – moved to June 2 at lunch – tickets will be pre-sold by the team members prior
to that date. See a member of the Hockey team for more details -- Hockey Team is paying out of pocket - every
dollar made is going to the team members to reimburse them for their costs.
 Senior Class Fundraiser - Silent Auction being posted by the end of the day in the Library. Everything from
furniture to chiro items!

