PBSD 6th Grade Washington DC Cell Phone Usage: For safety reasons, we realize students and parents will want to remain in contact during the Washington DC trip. Students will be allowed to bring cell phones for safety/picture use. However, because excessive phone use can hinder tours, etc., students must strictly adhere to the following guidelines: 1. Phones may only be used during appropriate times, such as free time, during meals, or to take pictures. 2. Cell phones are the responsibility of the student. The School District assumes no responsibility for damaged, lost, or stolen phones. 3. Each night at curfew, all cell phones will be collected by chaperones. Each morning before breakfast, students may pick up their cell phone from the chaperone. 4. Students and their parents/guardians must read School Board Policy #237, A cceptable Student Use of Personally Owned Devices. 5. Both student and parent/guardian must sign the Cell Phone Usage form before the student may bring a cell phone on the Washington DC trip. We have read the above rules and corresponding School Board Policy #237, A cceptable Student Use of Personally Owned Devices . We understand that the student’s violation of this policy may result in the confiscation of the phone and loss of cell phone privileges for the duration of the trip. The PBSD will not be responsible for any damaged, lost, stolen cell phones. Please detach bottom and return to your homeroom teacher I have read and understand the above listed cell phone expectations. ______________________________ may bring his/her cell phone on the 2016 DC Trip (student name) ___________________________________ Parent/Guardian Signature Date ___________________________________ Student’s Signature Date
