Trig. Ratios of Any Angle NOT on the Unit Circle
Steps:
1. Diagram the point and draw in the angle.
~ (we do NOT need to determine the size of the angle)
2. Finish the reference triangle (ALWAYS draw the right angle to the x­
axis!)
3. Label the sides of the triangle using the given point and the Pythagorean Theorem
4. Include necessary positive/negative signs based on the quadrant
5. Finish with the correct ratio using SOHCAHTOA
