World Book Day competition To celebrate World Book Day 2017, and to win a world of stories for our school, don’t forget to send in your transformed matchbox by next Monday 5th December in order to enter the World Book Day Competition. A match box was given to each child at the beginning of this week. Inverse advent calendar Your child will now have been given their advent calendar number to take part in our Inverse Advent Event, if they would like to do so. As a reminder, your child has been invited to bring in an item, on the day they have been allocated, to add to a class Christmas hamper that we will deliver to a local food-bank. Non-perishable food items are great but if the children could think of an inexpensive treat a small box of chocolates, biscuits or perhaps hand-cream or some such cosmetic gift - then the Class’ hamper will feel more like a Christmas gift. We hope that in choosing an item to add to the bank, our children will feel more connected to our whole community and have an even better understand the gift of giving.
