Do you see them as friends, someone to nod to in passing, Ok if tolerated in small doses, wouldn’t want sit next to, someone who is very “parent” like, someone to trust implicitly etc. etc. I guess I would describe it as very much like a family except that we don’t necessarily have blood ties but Jesus ties – the common link between us all. And yes that does mean that some members of the family we find more likeable, friendly approachable etc. than others. But we are one in Christ and that is our important common bond. Jesus is our supreme example of self sacrifice for the family and love and tolerance he showed us in how to get on as a family. And this all goes back to the question Graham asked when he first started our adventure into Mark’s Gospel. Who is this Jesus and how do we respond to Him.
