T.C. Knapp PAKT Meeting Minutes 11/6/16
In Attendance:
Christopher Shaeffer -PTO President, Nicole Maylor -Vice President, Megan Cratty -Treasurer,
Hilary Yerrick -Secretary, Miss Self -Principal, Mr. Risher -1st Grade Teacher, Diane Nave,
Tiffaney Proud, Faith Young, Linda Remark, Sonya Poirier, Sara Marino, Joan Edwards, Jennifer
Dixon, Julie Nicholas, Kris Satterfield and Deanna Hoffer.
Introduction:
Shaeffer called meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m.
Treasurer’s Report:
Cratty referred to report and reviewed as ending balance of $6,134.15 after expenses. Pit stop
deposits as well as teacher reimbursements were largest activities.
Principal’s Report:
Self took a moment to again thank each parent for coming to our meeting. First nine weeks of
school is completed. Fundraiser money is due by November 14th. We have approximately
$3,500 raised for the preschool playground. Grandparent’s day is December 15th.
Teacher’s Report:
Risher wanted to thank the PAKT on behalf of the teachers for ordering in pizza dinner for them
during conferences.
MVP night, Friday November 11th:
Maylor stated pizza and drinks will be provided for Boys and their Female MVP night. Movie
will be Rookie of the Year.
Parents Night Out, December 2nd:
Preschool teachers and helpers are hoping for a large turnout for this being an additional
fundraiser towards playground. Papers have been sent home for $12 per child to attend.
Holiday Shop, December 5th – 9th:
Shaeffer stated the shop will be set in the library. Volunteers needed as this is a big event for
the kids to shop for family. Set up the weekend before.
Out to eat fundraisers:
Shaeffer reported Falcone’s brought us $250 and we donated right into the playground fund.
Chipotle night is set for Tuesday, November 15th.

Web site sale of Perry Spirit Clothing:
Shaeffer stated the sale will start week before Thanksgiving and will be open until after. Site
will be easy to shop, tons of styles and little accessories to choose from. Orders will be shipped
to the school and Knapp will receive 10% of the sales.
Box Tops:
Brenda Gregory, messaged latest deposit was only $295.50. Please send those in before they
expire.
Pit Stop:
We need volunteers for Pit Stop on December 2nd , December 9th and December 16th. Shiny
coins have been passed out to teachers as a way to reward students and we need to order
more.
Open Floor:
Maylor stated the quilt we have been raffling is going well and are hoping to showcase at a few
more games. Raffle/Themed Baskets are a possibility for more fundraising during evening
Christmas program, etc. PAKT has agreed to donate two more scholarships this year at $500
each. Self thanked parents for their help during the Harvest Parties, very successful.
