The word Advent finds its root in
the Latin Adventus Domini, which
means “the coming of the Lord.”
This refers not just to the historical
birth of the infant Jesus, but to the
coming of Christ in the past, in the
present and at the end of time. The
scripture during the four weeks of
Advent remind us that we prepare
for and await the coming of Jesus…
“yesterday, today and forever.”

An Evening of Reflection
