Americana. We invite you to wear your
hat and join us as the ladies from
“Fashion and the Automobile” take a
look at the Kentucky Derby and the
Parade of Hats worn throughout the
years.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Start your child on a lifetime of literacy today!
This is an ongoing national initiative that parents
and caregivers may choose to join at any time. The
goal is to read 1000 books to your little one before
the start of kindergarten. Come to the library to
register, and you will receive a packet of materials,
including a detailed explanation of the program
and a book log. For each milestone (100, 200, etc.)
your child will get a sticker and move his or her
name on our “Wall of Fame.” A free book and
certificate of completion are awarded to those
reaching the 1000 book goal.

sinister pancake PR man, and several extremely

the new kid in town leads to mystery and an ecoadventure like no other.
Our Movie Book Club is recommended for children in
grades 4-8. Those who register for the club by March
31 will receive a free copy of the book. We will meet
at the library on Saturday, April 29 from 2:30-4:30 for
a popcorn video viewing party and discussion of the
book and movie. Register online, by phone, or stop
by the library. (Movie is rated PG).
