Canaan Rural Household
Hazardous Waste Collection
Program
Canaan held its first two Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, September 14th and
October 19th. The turnout between 10 AM and 2 Pm was very good. 69 households participated in
September and 67 in October which is about 7% of the town’s households. Our participation rate is
more than three times the state average for communities with collections.
