Attending the prom is an important event in the lives of many young women. However, the expenses
associated with the prom may make it out of reach for them to attend. Apex United Methodist Church
sponsors The Prom Shoppe to decrease the financial burden by providing prom dresses, shoes, make-up,
jewelry, and other accessories to area teens across central North Carolina.
In 2017, The Prom Shoppe will celebrate its 9th anniversary. This event has grown each year through
generous donations by area merchants and families.
The 2017 Prom Shoppe will be held for two days of “shopping fun” on Friday, March 24th from 3:00 pm
– 7:00 pm AND Saturday, March 25th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. The event will be held at Apex United
Methodist Church in the Christian Life Center at 100 South Hughes Street, Apex, NC. Parking is
available for buses, vans and cars.
Please share the enclosed information about The Prom Shoppe with all girls you feel might benefit from
this event. There are no prerequisites or referral forms for a girl to receive a dress. However, the girl
must be present to shop/receive a dress. Each girl may receive only one dress and appropriate
accessories.
Please feel free to contact us for additional information.
Thank you for your assistance in sharing this information with girls who might be interested in
attending!
