Goodwill is full of styling leather coats, sexy-frumpy dresses and low-hanging
army pants, all at low prices. This store has an array of kids’, men’s and women’s
clothing, books, retro kitchen gadgets, and used toasters and blenders. There is
a smattering of furniture and sports equipment.
Shopping is guilt-free at Goodwill, not just because the prices are so low, but
because the stores provide opportunities for people with barriers to employment
to gain real work experiences. Revenues from the sale of donated clothing goes
toward work training and employment services that help those people find paid
jobs in the community.
