Directions: Write each verbal sentence as an equation or inequality. Be sure to define a variable when
necessary. (This means you MUST have a let statement!!)

4) Four less than q is 24.
5) A number decreased by 5 equals 25.

14) 12 less than b is 87.
15) 10 plus the quotient of a number and 15 is 62.
