Thank you to the South Dakota AEOP for inviting North Central Area (NCA) members and guests to Sioux Falls for the 2017 North Central Area Professional Development Days (NCAPDD)! The NCAPDD being held June 7-9, 2017, at the Ramkota Hotel. This year, the conference theme, “Networking to Put the Pieces Together,” accurately describes the importance of this conference to bring together members from our ten states to create a strong and viable network of professionals. Over the two days together, we will forge new relationships and strengthen existing ones through informative workshops, business meetings, committee work, and numerous networking opportunities. We are constantly transforming the way we do our jobs, and this conference provides the opportunity for you to share your best practices with others, and to learn from them. You, as members of your local, state, or NAEOP, have the vision, the knowledge, and the experience to move our associations forward to remain viable and vital to all members. YOU are the greatest assets of all these associations. It is obvious that we could not be successful without all of your contributions. As you prepare to attend the NCAPDD, I ask you to set some goals for these two days. Maybe you want to re-connect with friends from another state. Maybe you are working toward your PSP certificate (or recertification) and will be earning valuable in-service hours. Maybe you want to learn more about NAEOP and the North Central Area. Whatever your reason for attending, you will find it here! During the conference, I encourage you to stay engaged, keep us proactive and help shape the future of the North Central Area. It is our goal that the 2017 NCAPDD is a rewarding and memorable experience for each of you! I look forward to seeing you in Sioux Falls! Enjoy the conference!
