This is how it works. Within 10 days of your Virgin
Australia Velocity Flyer Card being approved, your
Velocity Frequent Flyer account will be updated
to show your ‘complimentary domestic flights’
redemption activity. You can find this in the ‘My
Benefits’ section and then look at ‘Virgin Money
Credit Card’ and click on the details button. As soon
as your Velocity account has been updated, you can

Transfer the balances from your other credit cards,
store cards and personal loans onto your Virgin
Australia Velocity Flyer Card. Your money becomes a
lot easier to manage with only one account to look
out for and it could also save you on interest charges.
Visa payWave is the latest in secure, contactless
technology. It will help you spend less time at the
register and give you the freedom to do the things
that matter most to you. For transactions under
$100, just wave your Visa payWave-enabled card in
front of a Visa payWave reader and go. There’s no
need to enter your PIN.
If you didn’t request a balance transfer when you
applied for your card, you can still apply by giving
us a call on 13 37 39. Any special offer rates are
available for 90 days after your card is approved.
If you’d like to request a balance transfer after that
time please give us a call to see what rates we
can offer you.
Using PIN for in store purchases is now mandatory in
Australia and other parts of the globe. If you’d like to
change your ATM PIN, you can do it by logging into
your online account and selecting ‘My Profile’ from
the ‘Services’ menu option. If you have additional cardholders they’ll need to
set up their own Virgin Money Online account. To
do this we need to have their mobile number on file,
so give our Customer Care Team a call on 13 37 39.
Once their mobile number is listed, they can then
go ahead and set up their online account using their
card details and then change their ATM PIN.
Visa payWave-enabled cards are backed by Visa’s
Zero Liability Policy3 and are as secure as any other
Visa chip card. They carry the same multiple layers of
security, which ensures that you are not responsible
for fraudulent or unauthorised transactions. Visa
payWave cards only work when the card is within
4cm of the card reader and the payWave terminal
can only process one transaction at a time. Because
your Visa payWave card doesn’t leave your hand
during the transaction, you remain in control of your
card at all times.
Use your PIN for all other purchases at the terminal.
Your four-digit PIN is used as proof of identity when
making over-the-counter transactions at selected
merchants. It is designed to make things quick and
easy at point of sale and is generally a more secure
transaction process.

Invite your family and friends to grab an additional
card, to earn Velocity Points faster1. This can be
anyone from your partner, to your best friend or
even your mother, just as long as they’re over 16
years old. It’s worth it for those extra Velocity Points
that you can earn, every time you or a loved one
uses the Virgin Australia Velocity Flyer Card to shop,
getting you that flight you want, sooner. You can
have up to 4 additional cards on your account.
The additional card will be linked to the same
account4, so you’ll also share the same credit limit.
Your additional cardholder will be issued with
their own Virgin Australia Velocity Flyer Card, and
any transactions made using these cards will be
separately itemised on your card Statement, making
it easy to manage your finances. You can add a card
holder through your online account. Head to ‘Card

When your statement arrives send the payment
slip back to us with your cheque or money order.
To make sure things run smoothly:
You can make your payments at any Australia Post
office displaying the Bank@Post™ symbol using
cash, cheque or EFTPOS. It’s important to remember
to take your Credit Card with you to make the
payment. When paying by cheque at any Australia
Post office, please allow seven business days for
the cheque to clear. However, your payment will
be considered received the day the cheque is

5. Managing your account is easy.
Virgin Money Online is your personal online account
where you can view your transactions, print your
statements, set up automated payments, pay bills,
change your PIN and more. In just a few clicks you’ll
be online and in control of your Virgin Money Credit
Card Account.
Setting up your Virgin Money Online account is easy,
once you’ve received your card, have your mobile
phone handy and go to my.virginmoney.com.au
and click on the ‘First time here? REGISTER’ button.
Then click on the Credit Card Icon and follow the
steps, complete the required information then enter
a One Time PIN which we’ll send to the mobile
number you advised us during your application.
You’ll be up and running in minutes.
If you need to change your mobile number please
call our Customer Care Team on 13 37 39 and they’ll
assist you, it’s important to know that should you
wish to change your mobile number during the set
up process you will not be able to set up your online
account for 3 days as we do impose a security freeze
to the account.
Your monthly Statements.
If you’ve requested to receive eStatements we’ll
email you your monthly statement in the form of
an encrypted PDF attachment, you’ll be required to
enter a password to view your statement. A copy of
the statement will also be stored within your online
account for up to 2 years. Your statement will include
all the information you need to know for the last
month of activity, such as your account balance and
the minimum amount due.
It’s also best if you have the latest version of Adobe
Reader in order to view your statements within Virgin
Money Online.If you’ve asked for paper Statements,
you can always switch to eStatements in your online
account by clicking on ‘Services’, then head to ‘My
Profile’ and select ‘eStatements’.

6. Looking after your card.
Automatic Payments.
Spend less time paying your bills and more
time doing things you really want to be doing.
With Automatic Payments arrange your bills to
be automatically debited from your credit card,
earning you even more Velocity Points.
Setting up your automatic payments
is easy.
For bills you’d like paid from your credit card, contact
the companies and provide them with your account
number and every payment that occurs will be
clearly itemised on your statement.
The last thing you need is for your card to fall into
the wrong hands or to disappear, so here’s a few do’s
and don’ts that will help you keep your card safe.
Do’s.
• Sign your card as soon as you get it.
• Always keep your card in a safe place.
•W
hen your card expires, you will be sent a
new one. Sign it straight away and then call
to activate it.
•D
estroy your old card, cut it into pieces and
dispose of them securely and responsibly.
• If you’re waiting for a new card and it hasn’t arrived
within the expected time, let us know.
•K
eep an eye on merchants when they’re using
your card.
•K
eep all your phone numbers up to date so we can
contact you if we notice unusual account activity.
•B
e wary of merchants who swipe your card
a few times.
•M
ake sure you check the transaction amount before
you authorise with a PIN.
•W
hen you use your card online, only ever use secure
internet sites.
•A
lways tear up your credit card receipts before
throwing them in the bin.
• L et us know of your travel itinerary to
eliminate concerns about card activity
occurring in exotic locations.

Travelling
If you’re planning a holiday or heading off on a
business trip, it’s important to let us know your plans
so we can be aware of any unusual activity on your
card. It’s also a good idea to make sure we have your
correct contact details in case we need to contact you
to verify it’s you that’s making the transaction.
Missing your card? Don’t panic.
A transaction that doesn’t look familiar.
If you notice that your card has gone missing, there’s
no need to panic, simply let us know immediately.
If you don’t recognise a transaction on your
statement, or it’s incorrect in any way, let us know
immediately by calling 13 37 39. We’d like to help
you if there’s a problem but there are strict timelines
and conditions that need to be met so it’s important
that you call us immediately.
If you’re in Australia call us on 13 37 39, or
+612 8288 2222 if you’re outside of Australia. We’ll
cancel your card so nobody else can use it, and we’ll
get a new card to you as soon as physically possible.
