NoSQL Development Receives A Further Boost 3T Software Labs

NoSQL Development Receives A Further Boost 3T Software Labs Launches With Development Tools Aimed At MongoDB Professionals BERLIN 15 April 2014 Today we are very pleased to announce that Berlinbased 3T Software Labs (http://3tsoftwarelabs.com) is being launched. Founded by NoSQL enthusiasts with many years of experience in both academic research and professional software engineering, 3T Software Labs is a maker of professional multiplatform MongoDB development tools. “3T Software Labs was born from our daily experiences working together on NoSQLbacked projects. We immediately loved the experience of working with NoSQL technologies and found their flexibility truly liberating. What we really missed basically every day, though, were the mature, solid and professional development tools that have been available for traditional RBMSs for a long time. So, we decided to simply make those tools available for NoSQL developers too. Today, we start with the MongoDB ecosystem”, says cofounder and CEO Tomasz Naumowicz. 3T Software Labs first launches with the following development and administration tools for MongoDB: Data Manager. With 3T Data Manager, you can edit any MongoDB data type directly in a treeview, tableview or in a lossless JSON editor. You can edit complex structures such as embedded documents or arraysinarraysinembeddeddocuments in both a treeview or tableview effortlessly. It’s easy to visually add documents, fields and values of any MongoDB type with just a stroke of a key – anywhere in your document! Data Compare. With 3T Data Compare it’s easy to compare different databases, collections and documents in MongoDB. You can compare all, or just parts, of your staging data to production, your test server to your development server, or whatever comparisons you need. You can use the knowledge generated by 3T Data Compare to gain insight into the differences in your data, speed development and better manage your deployments. Schema Explorer. With 3T Schema Explorer it’s easy to explore the schema of your MongoDB data. You can inspect documents containing certain keys or data types with just one click. Schema Explorer will let you find structural outliers and anomalies in a single glance. Quickly verify the “sanity” of your data, such as: “Do all documents in my customer collection have an address field?” “How likely will an embedded address object contain a country code?” “Do my _id fields really all contain ObjectIDs? Where do those occasional String values come from?” “Over the next months, we will be adding many more tools and features. We will also be expanding support to include other NoSQL databases such as CouchBase and CouchDB very soon. There are lots more exciting things coming!”, says cofounder Graham Thomson. Initially, 3T Software Labs launches for the MongoDB ecosystem. “Our mission is to generally boost the development experience with NoSQL technologies by providing professional development tools that either do not exist today or improve vastly on what is currently available. We really hope to distinguish our tools on their solidity and user experience.” says cofounder Thomas Zahn. The three cofounders Tomasz Naumowicz, Graham Thomson and Thomas Zahn know each other from their time in academic research and have subsequently worked on joint industry projects. They have weathered many an engineering challenge together and make a proven team, they think. 3T Software Labs is a MongoDB Ready Software Partner of MongoDB.
