Guidelines for EMBO Courses &
Workshops stamp and EMBO logo
The poster, website and abstract book cover templates of all EMBO
Courses and Workshops events must include the EMBO logo and
the EMBO stamp stating that this is an EMBO event.
The written content, the shape, and the proportions of the EMBO
logo and the stamp should not change.
The EMBO logo
Colour
The EMBO logo should always be placed on a white background.
Position
The EMBO logo can be placed anywhere but it must be shown
prominently on all materials (i.e. website, poster, promotional
materials, etc).

Size
• Poster
By default, on an A3 poster, the width of the EMBO logo is 70mm.
When resizing the logo for a poster or promotional material
which is smaller than A3, the width of the EMBO logo should not
be smaller than 40mm (regardless of the poster size).

The minimum width of the EMBO logo on the website is 200

Colour
Each set of EMBO stamps is available as a white and as a black
version. Each stamp is available separately as a pdf file.
When the stamp is placed over a coloured background or image, a
drop shadow could be applied on the stamp to make it stand out.

Position
• Poster (A3 size)
The EMBO Courses and Workshops stamp should be positioned
at the top left of the poster, 1 cm from the edge of an A3 poster.
When the stamp is used on a poster smaller than A3 (e.g. A4 or
A5), the distance from the edge can be decreased.

The EMBO Courses and Workshops stamp should be in the top
header area of the website.
Size

By default, the width of the “EMBO” word on the stamp is 42mm
which should be used on an A3 poster.
When resizing the stamp for a poster or promotional material
which is smaller than A3, the “EMBO” word should not be
smaller than 20mm (regardless of the poster size).

The width of the “EMBO” word on the website should not be
smaller than 68 pixels. For mobile websites with a width of 320
pixels the “EMBO” word should not be smaller than 47 pixels.
