This week we are reviewing the following
spellings: ow, u, ew, ue, u_e and oo. During unit 6, we
will also be working on word analysis skills during
phonics time. This week’s skills are reviewing plurals,
synonyms/antonyms, compound words and
contractions..
Reminders:
plurals: more than one
synonyms: words with similar meanings
antonyms: words with opposite meanings
compound words: 2 small words put together to
make a new word
contractions: 2 words combined with a letter or
letters replaced by an apostrophe
