Their reunion included a bus tour of the cemeteries where their families were interred and some of the places where they lived. Six of those family members are buried in the Baisden Cemetery on Highway 271 in Schley County. The busses stopped to visit the cemetery and then pro- ceeded to tour the C. H. Burt Store at LaCrosse. Reggie Bryant, one of the organizers, visited Schley County Library before the reunion and was told to call Imogene McLendon, who owns the land that surrounds the cemetery and the Burt Store property at LaCrosse. She welcomed the group and related some of the history of the area. She said that there were two stores in addition to the C.H. Burt Store. One was housed in a two-story building and coffins were displayed on the second floor. There was a cotton gin that blew a loud whistle at noon. The railroad depot was active since trains Clarence B.
